Default Types Of Cities To Have

Of course this is for the new player, most experienced players are well aware of this. If you can only have 2 cities, then you want to have a ALL food city and a ALL lumber city. Surprisingly I get asked this often by new players "What type of city do I need". If you are a baronet and can have 3 cities, its best to have 1 each; Food,Lumber,Iron. This simply means that all your resources fields in city view are all 1 type of resource. This is the most efficient way to keep a city. Yes a mix can work but will limit you to a lesser amount of resources. It does take some time to make 1 of these cities except the food city, that can be a conquered lvl10 npc which will have all the lvl10 farms. You can also obtain these cities if another player in your alliance is quitting or dropping cities and will give you 1. hope this has been somewhat informative for the new player.....Happy Plundering........

But make sure you protect your Lumber and Iron cities from newbies that are hungry for free resources.

I wouldn't want an all food city, and i would suggest you have 1 empty city slot for conquering and NPCing other players' cities

Rep me if I helped =)

Who wants an all food city? i know on my server i could sell my lumber or iron and buy food and have gold left over... cant speak for other servers but. Also what about an all iron city? if you don't like market trading half of each is good... (i mean sure it uses more population but right now again on my server last i looked iron was more than wood)

Well the food city is to cut down on the food bill from the troops. Something neither the lumber or iron city can do...and YES you protect ALL cities from those wishing to plunder you..you sell some of the iron / lumber for food to keep a substantial army in there which can hold the city till the big force arrives from your FOOD city...yet again, this was geared toward a new player not experienced ones wishing to get a quick post by putting in their 2 cents...happy plundering

    Default Farming

You dont need an all food city, just build up levl 5 and 10 npc's around your city and farm them. You're going to have to farm when you build your army up anyways.

    A food city?!?!?! LMAO

Please, nobody do this. I made this grevious error when I first started. I had seen a picture of a conquered level 10 npc, and had got it into my mind that this was what cities were meant to look like. Ended up spending a week tearing down all the level 9 farms I had made, because food cities are 100% worthless.
