Yes, let's all sit around a campfire, roast marshmallows, and sing "Kumbaya" while we wait for the servers to be back online.

But on the flipside...it IS free. I think people keep forgetting that. And what do you expect for FREE play? Apparently, there are alot of lazy people out there who expect quite a bit in exchange for nothing. The online world is no different than the real world.

I get really irked when my internet service goes down...but I'm PAYING for that. When you pay for something, only then do you have any reasonable expectation of certain performance standards.

I only read the Forums when the servers are down...
Gee, look at the number of posts I have. Must be ALOT of downtime.

    That's funny

It's a beautiful thing to start a building that takes 8 hours, go to work, come back have it be complete and have 100k more resources than when I left.
I...simply...have...not the heart to respond to the above two sentences. I hope you have fun and best wishes.

Funny, I play a lot of free games too. Lots of open source projects out there, worked on by volunteers for no money, many of which have absolutely no pay model and only get money when someone randomly decides to send in a donation....

And Evony is still, BY FAR, the worst game I have ever played in terms of downtime and user support.

And, by the way, there are people who have paid for Evony. They paid for items and not received them, or lost them due to downtime, and if you look around the forums you can find that these people rarely, if ever, receive any sort of compensation from Evony.
