Ok I still havent figured out all the lingo. Flaming Trolling etc. Would someone be kind enough to post a thread somewhere I can read up on that? Anyway back to my point... I have posted a few comments over the last couple months and started a few threads. What really bugs me are the people ( you know who you are) that feel that it is imperative that they find fault in anything at all if it doesn't agree with them. I am not talking Mods here. I am talking about Forum Junkies ( I seem to be falling into that category) Some people seem to make it their quest to put down anyone and everyone they possibly can. And YES they barely stay within the rules. I don't want to post examples because then I would be just like them. Why is it that if you dont have something constructive to add to a post, you feel the need to degrade the person that made the original post to begin with? Be constructive or be quiet! Saying things like " Your an idiot" " You dont have a clue" " Whats your point?" and many others is not constructive. Just becasue you have 50K posts does not make you the ambassador for the forum elite. Try to show a little tact and be an example with your wisdom and knowledge of the forums for those that are new! Be constructive without being abusive.! /

well if ther is no criticism there wont be anything to improve

and you mentioned "whats your point?" as something they say.if someone does not get your point he/she can't help or comment so be open to criticism and don't complain about it

Apparently you missed my point! Of course there should be criticism. But not personal attacks.. "Whats your point" was a PERSONAL attack that I witnessed on another post. Not necessarily on every post that has been written. And I am not complaining about myself. I have not had many issues on my personal post from "those people" I am referring to all those that are either to scared to come back or too embarrassed to come back because someone slighted them. But Criticism should be CONSTRUCTIVE and not Personal!

Necro: (Necromancy) Raising the dead. In forum terms, seeking out old threads that have died a natural death and posting an inane comment on them to try and bring them back to life. Very bad.

Flaming: Attacking a post or poster in a heated manner, usually in the form of a personal attack. It all depends on the severity of the flaming as to how a mod will react.

Spamming: Can take a few forms, from posting silly comments on every thread, to holding a conversation with another person in a single thread that does not relate to the original post, or starting multiple threads that have no real purpose other than to boost the post count or the ego of the spammer. Mods usually come down pretty hard on this.

Troll: The classic definition of a forum troll is somebody who will set traps for the uninformed, mainly for their own amusement. If it is done with humour it can be funny for others to read, but it can also get to be quite cruel at times. Once again it's a question of severity.

Double Posting: Posting twice in a row in the same thread, instead of editing your first post. It is frowned upon by mods but will usually be ignored unless the offender has history. The exception to the rule may be an extremely lengthy post as there is a 10,000 character limit. The post would then be judged on it's merits.
    Does that help any??

I guess this doesnt count as double posting since I just learned what that was. But if you doubt my integrity feel free to check my profile and the posts I have made as an ADVOCATE for those noobs that I FELT were slighted somehow. You will notice that I didnt just come up with this Idea today.

Thanks but I guess the original intent of this post was lost in the alternate question ( which probably should have been a separate post) * note to self*
