* HB: Horseback units
* HBR: Horseback ridin'. A technology that increases HB and Seige movement speed.
* Loyalty Spam: Fast, weak attacks in small numbers that hit jus' hard enough to reduce loyalty on a city in preparation for capture
* Nerf: The devs alterin' the mechanics to make somethin' crap for any given reason
* NPC/Barb: Barbarian Town
* 'Phract/Armoured Pony: Cataphract
* Pony/Horse: Cavalry
* Rainbow: As described below
* Spearhead: The main assault wave against someone; will typically contain the heaviest hittin' units in all the waves.
* t/a/d: Traps/Abati/Rockfall
* Valley: Land spaces on the map that are not Cities. These include Flat, Grassland, Swamp, Lake, Forest, Desert and Hill
* Wave: A march of units sent to attack someone

O.K. time to get down and dirty. now, alot of you are just starting out, so 12 barracks by the end of your Bp is advisable because you are going to need to train troops quickly if you want to survive in the rough world of Evony. This is my first attempt at a guide, so please don't judge me by it. as i find more and more stuff ill post it. Now most of you may know about a rainbow attack, but for the ignorant i shall elaborate

Rainbow Attack:
a rainbow attack. One of the most popular attacks with any level, and you can use this beautiful Mona Lisa of war strategies on anything! You may have heard of it but never understood the complicated explanation, or maybe this is your lucky day and you find out about it for the first time.
now, a rainbow attack consists of archers and your preferred unit. so, for example, you used 15k cavalries and 20 scouts attacking 50k archers defending. which wins?
the attackers!
you see, once archers get into range of enemy, they always stop and fire at them. they stop advancing, allowing everything to pass them up. since the scouts speed is 3000 you can have scouts reach archers before cavalries. then the archers fire away at the scouts, giving the cavs enough time to arrive and wreak havoc.but for a true rainbow then i suggest i-50k of archers, scouts, warriors, cavalries, and swords. then when the cleaners are done you can swoop in with the rainbow, taking out archer towers and archers and from then on use your remaining troops and plunder.

Cleaners
Cleaners are also known as "bombs" to lower loyalty and take out those annoying traps and abatises, especially if you have cavalries.

IF you do get into a situation where the defender has lots of ATs and they have plenty of abatises, by the way the abatises will ONLY stop ponies, then send a rainbow to take out the ATs while the ponies are clearing all the abatises.

well actually i only copied and pasted the abbreviations since i wanted to post and i didn't want to do all that typing. everything else was tested by me. i am going to be remaking this l8r becuz this one was made at 230 AM after a long day.... im sorry for all those confused. i Do occasionally take tidbits of info from guides, but i ]ALWAYS give them credit. the next one will be compiled with how to beat valleys and NPCs. also i will cover how to defend well, and- well, you will just see.

Well I would like that information on how to take npc without losses. Lv 5 in particular as thats seems to be the majority. I used to take lv 5 npc using the standard ballistics (anywhere from 450-600) with no losses now all of s sudden I get about 10% losses with every hit. I understand this is a bug if ur HBR was higher Arch so I keep Arch higher but I don't know what else has changed? I can see if I always lost but that was not the case just started about 3 weeks ago and my acadamies and hero are all higher then previous so what has changed or how to correct it? Hero= Att 90+ HBR=7 Comp=8 Arch=9 all others 8? Any ideas?

Wrong thread, but arch 9 needs hbr 8. hbr 7 will consistently yield losses

its not confuseing. Just lacking a little bit of information and yes, to new people this is going to confuse them >_> but to low-medium level skill players this is usefull ^_^
