Correct. You'd eventually get a suspension if you kept using both without reporting the error. Reporting this to have it merged and corrected is your best option.
Yeppers! With the merge the email addresses are merged. That's the most likely reason these two are not. I would include:
1. Your servers
2. Your in-game name(s)
3. Both email addresses
4. Which email address you want to be primary
As I don't know how it works personally with merging (from a technical standpoint), I can't tell you if it's possible now that the merge is complete but the staff will be able to give you a definitive answer on this. Make sure if you do not get a response from your email that when you PM the customer service rep(s) you include what email you sent it to and what was in the email, including when it was sent.
