Never even knew this thread existed but now I know, and have a lengthy list of books to read thanks guys! Not reading anything presently (tempted to crack out my poetry anthology just so I can change that; yup, kinda desperate lol). However, some good ones I've read in the past are:

My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult (NOTE: if you read this do NOT watch the movie; they ruin the ending D= but that aside, she's written a lot of good books as well. The Pact I think was another of hers.. can't really remember all her titles atm but yeah she's good)

Chronicles of Narnia series - C.S Lewis

Anne of Green Gables - L.M. Montgomery (classic Canadian literature ftw )

Lord of the Flies - William Golding (yup that was for school, but still good imho)

The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold

Charlotte's Web - E.B White

The Five People You Meet In Heaven - Mitch Albom (also, Tuesdays With Morrie)

The Notebook - Nicholas Spark (I think. In any case I've read a fair few of the author's books, I like)

The Long Walk - Stephen King (only Stephen King I've ever read, not really into that genre, but good. -Think was Stephen King... if not correct me without shooting )

Think that's all the ones that you've not mentioned yet. Unless you've not mentioned The Hobbit..
