La Disparition (french book) by G. Perrec.
It's one of the books that you'll never read unless you speak french.
Why?
Because the author, a member of the OuLiPo (a movement that focuses on constrained writing techniques), wrote the whole book (around 200 pages) without using a single "e" (which is used a lot in the french language... even the "and" contains an "e" in french ("et"))
