Only the other attributes determine the various bonuses given by Heroes. They need experience to upgrade but otherwise it's not important. The upgrade requirement does go up quickly however, as 100*level^2. Also, paying to increase loyalty is level*100 gold.

To help decide whether to keep a Hero, I compare their point totals relative to level 1. The Heroes with best potential have ~155 relative to level 1 (You'll be lucky to find one actually at level 1). From what I've seen anyway. You don't find Heroes like this every day but they occur enough (if you're active in the field as well as the inn )

So just to confirm a lvl 1 hero with 50attack is better than a lvl 10 with 50 attack?

Also how does hero loyalty work? I know how to increase it via medals etc but not sure what the benefits of doing so are...

    Default item use on hero

So i have an item called "On War" that gives 100,000 exp but i can't find a way to use it. When i go to the detials there is no apply option or give option. When i look at the hero and try to reward him it is not in those options either. Anyone know how to give it to the hero? I figured this might go here since other might have this problem and could be a good addition to the guide for using items and such.

    All else being equal, yes.

They both give same bonus to attack. Level 1 is just cheaper to maintain and will improve faster. If the Level 1 Hero with 50 attack only had say, 140 total points, I would not keep it.

    ON WAR:

In Feasting Hall, click on Hero. Click on reward and 'On War' will be in the drop down menu.

Yeah i posted that i tried that too but like i said before it doesn't give me the option to do it. So i am still at a loss What else is strange about my rewards options too it that i have an item in there that is not in my inventory and it never gets used up. it adds 25% to attack for 24 hrs not sure if everyone has that or just me.

Default Still confused on: Intellegence and Politics

Okay so i heard 2 condradicting theories so far:

    1. Politics decrease build time and increase production x on the % of the stats your hero has in politics

    2. Intellegence decreases build time x on the % of the stats on your hero in intellegence

Does anyone really know which one does what, and reply to me here?

Testing: Upgrade Barracks to Level 6
    Attack Hero: 2hrs 11mins
    Politics Hero: 1hr 57mins
Difference: 14 mins in favor of Politics Hero

    Testing: 50 Swordsman
    Attack Hero - 1hr 21mins
    Politics Hero - 1hr 32mins
Difference: 11mins in favor of Attack Hero

    Conclusion based on limited testing
Politics Hero helps with Building/ Upgrades
Attack Hero helps with Training Troops

Sorry, I lied This is NOT what you do. There's a tiny green button next to the Hero's experience points (to the right of their picture). Press that and you can use 'On War' and other items. Sorry for the confusion.

    Default Anabasis

I don't see a means of applying the Anabasis or other items that raise a Hero's experience. How are we to use these?
