What I don't understand is how come when I switch out my mayors you see an immediate time difference in resource gathering and research, but not troop training speed. My hero with 30 attack trains at the same speed as my hero with 75... 100 archers takes 4 hours for both heros, what gives?

because resource gathering is keep updating. take note to find 3 hero with extreme point. Like Politic/Attack/Inteligence 100/0/0 for building, 0/100/0 to train army and finally 0/0/100 for research. 100 just an example. Once you already start the building, training or research, swicth back to your normal mayor, preferable with high politic. If you got more that 1 city, you can use this 3 guys around.

Just to add to the guide, Intel has been proven to increase the chances of getting medals when attacking valleys. Unsure where I remember reading it but it's in this guides forum. Also to note I just tested myself, Build time for defences such as archer's towers are affected by Politics.

When heroes are appointed mayor and they gain exp every so often does the amount of exp they get depend on the feasting hall lvl?

I'm new here and would like to say thank you for this guide.

As a new player I'm still figuring this game out. In looking at my Inn I notice that even at lvl 1 heros have very different stats, some with maybe 80 of so total stats (adding the 4 columns) some have 130. I'll assume that the higher total stat ones are better, depending on what you are seeking.

Given the clearity above, I have a question:
When using the item to reset a hero's stats for redistribute, does it give you the total number of stats to reassign or something else?

Second, Given the clearity above should you have specific heros that give you specific advantages ie: reset hero to all INT and make him/her as mayor when ever doing research?

    Thanks

That is one way, the Mayor also collects exp, simply by being mayor.

How do you recruit a Hero in other lands ie. Cities, Flats or Resource if they do not appear with scouting those areas?
When you fell like you have accomplished everything in Life, STOP!!, Turn around and see all of the things that you missed along the way.
