The scientist only needs to be in place when you start the project. And you may rethink this when faced with say 290 hours for archery 10. I shaved 90 hours off that time.

A question was not answered in this post earlier:
How often does the Inn refresh with new heroes when I'm trying to recruit them?

Default Question about heroes and valleys

When you capture a valley, is there any advantage to leaving the hero there? Is it better to recall the hero and send reinforcements to guard the valley?

Excellent guide, very informative. This will help a great deal in development of my cities. Appreciate the hard work.

I'd also like to know how often the inn refreshes heroes, I wasted both my hero hunting and got worse heroes....

    Default hero level

what is the use of high level hero? the cost are so much more and if you have a level 1 availble with 70 int and your level 10 hero has only 40 why would you want the higher level? assuming other stats are the same

ok ive been playing this game for a month now or so, and im finding my level 9 inn produces level 20 to 30 level heroes with terrible attributes rarely exceeding 70 in any stat (which makes me conclude their base numbers at level 1 are terrible). My level 1 inn produces lousy heroes as well ranging from levels 1 to 5. By lousy, I mean the stat is rarely ever 70, which as i understand, is the max base stat one can get from an inn. I've seen a few base 68, 69 stats, but I'm still waiting for that 70 base stat level 1.

So the question then is there a way to find exceptional heroes that have high base stats, aside from spending gold to buy out heroes at the inn just to get them refreshed?

Also, is there a way to find good base stats, such as 80+? Are they captured through high level valleys? I've done up to level 8 valleys and so far the heroes have lousy base stats.

bump still dont know why, if all stats are equal, if a lvl 10 hero is any better in any way than a lvl 1 hero?

I personally like low level heroes with high attributes because it is faster to upgrade their attributes. Here's an example of 2 Politics hero. For all intents and purposes, I will ignore Intelligence and Attack but you can replace Politics with either of the 2 stats.

    James - Lvl 1, Politics 60
    George - Lv10, Politics 50

Why is James better? Well bear with me as I explain:

As you upgrade your buildings, the amount of experience a hero gets increases depending on what you're upgrading to. For example, a lvl 1 building upgraded to level 2 may only give 500 experience. Whereas a lvl 8 building upgraded to lvl 9 may give 50,000 experience. I don't know the exact numbers but just bear with me on that info.

Ok, now, to level a hero like James from Lvl 1 to 2, you only need a little bit of experience but to level George from Lvl 10 to lvl 11, you will need a lot more.

By the time James has reached Lvl 10, George will have only reached, say, Lvl 12 with the same amount of experience gained from upgrading buildings, doing attacks or whatever it is they're doing.

This means that with 10 levels, comes 10 upgrade points. For the same amount of experience, James will be at 70 Politics. Whereas George will only be at 62 Politics.

These are just my thoughts on the logic of it but I'd love to hear if I'm terribly wrong.
