As has been seen elsewhere in this forum, there are many server issues. The World Chat is a plague, and if the mindless drivel which flows within it ceased to be, we'd actually be able to PLAY the game a bit more easily.
Switching to a different chat is simply a way to ignore what passes through the World Chat, but it is still active and consuming server load nonetheless; switching won't really change anything server-side.
Yes, it is quite sad, I will admit, even being a guilty party here.Originally Posted by Zarora
Yes absolutely, and after wasting my initial Speakers saying "read the quest" and "click the quest button" and the like, I guess that I, like many others, just snapped.Originally Posted by Zarora
Again, it's not about SEEING what is said as much as it is about the IMPACT it has on the extremely laggy gameplay.Originally Posted by Zarora
I am all for completely getting rid of the World Chat altogether. If people need help and they choose to ignore the help that is ALREADY THERE, they can use the forum. That's what it's here for, and I will (and do) gladly help out someone who posts a question on the forum, even if it seems Noobish and simple.
On a side note, I would truly like to know exactly how much impact the World Chat has on the speed of gameplay. How much does all that extra byte transfer actually affect that of the actual game?
