I'm going to have to disagree with you on the speed issue. Beta, godsend with the 10x speed. Thats too fast though. 3-5x speed would work (Another browser based game offers 3x speed).

Also, Evony was meant to be a GAME, which means its not meant to be played ALL. DAY. LONG.

Take other RTS games for that matter, not just browser based, the CD ones as well. Build times aren't anywhere near as long. Sure, this is for building empires. But it shouldn't take a month to get everything leveled up, just to get it taken and barbed in less than a day. The 'combat server' idea has been around for a while, and the devs are already looking into it for more feedback (see here: http://bbs.evony.com/showthread.php?t=116829 )

Evony is dying. The map sizes are too large for the amount of players on the super servers. If the march time were to be increased, I'm almost positive that some of these servers would spring back to life almost instantly. The reason why they are dying is because of the the two facts that, the map is too large for the amount of people on the server, and the fact that the troop speed is way too slow to travel across said map.

And also, Evony made themselves something they weren't when they removed the attack button from Age II, and made it just another Facebook app.

Notice that the OP stated he wanted a "Specific Custom Server" for all of this. Changing the rules of evony is a different story, making 1 separate server just to suit his needs I disagree with. In my opinion, you either change the whole thing, or none of it. You want to update Age II to faster speeds and marches? Go ahead! I don't think there should be only certain servers with these exceptions.

I am not saying EVONY is making itself something it isn't. No, evony will always be evony... no matter how much it changes. I am telling THIS guy to stop imagining evony as something else.

And, once again, Evony IS a game, but it is a REAL TIME game. Meaning, building and etc. is SUPPOSED to take long, to get closer to reality. In real lie, can you speed up projects and etc.? You are straying from the whole "Real" Time idea here.
