Ask whether or not its possible to merge some of the super servers together so they're more active.
My question is, when will the lag be gone?
Those who spend the money most on Evony wins most.
Good luck with getting your questions answered. Up to this point Evony has shown no interest in answering questions like these. I do hope you know the history of this game and do your home work before you select the questions you want to ask. Here are some of the questions that I would love to see asked. To let you know, I am a player who has been critical of Evony and of Age 2, but I think my questions are very fair and that a lot of people feel the same way I do.
1. Evony has a new ad that is running that says "no bully's" "no farming" that leaves a lot of people questioning this. Is this "No Bully's" slogan an effort for Evony to try and protect the smaller player that had no chance against more established players? What do they also mean by "no farming" because while they have reduced the amount of food the troops consume there is still no cap on how many troops a player can have. This means that it is all relative and as servers mature and players armies grow, farming will be just as much a necessity as it was in Age 1. This seems to say that the ad for no farming is incorrect and misleading. If colonization is the answer, do they think they need to up the percentage that the colonizing player gets? Right now 10% seems light. They have stated that using 3rd party software is illegal. The 3rd party software was usually used to deal with the time and farming requirements needed to stay competitive. Has Evony ever considered using an Evony created b0t to address this issue?
2. War. What is Evony's reason for adding colonization as an alternative to attacking? Why is colonization not an addition to attacking? Who is Evony gearing this game toward considering that this is supposed to be a war game? How does Evony see conflict happening in the game? I am assuming they would like to see conflict centered around the historical cities. Where does Evony see their money base coming from once players have completed the quests? In Age 1 after the quests were completed it was all about war and Evony was still able to make money off players who purchased items necessary for fighting. Without having the ability to attack, do the developers still see players staying around once they are done with the quests?
3. The Star System. It is quite confusing and I saw Dawnseeker couldn't really explain it. If the Reps can't explain it how do they expect the players to understand it? Also, this is an area that the player will be required to purchase items to improve their armor. Once you have bought these items there is a chance that you will fail in upgrading your gear. This seems to suggest that Evony is encouraging it's players to gamble rather than selling them a product. Did Evony really consider this and do they still think this is a good idea?
4. The Cost to play. In Age 1 a player was able to stay competitive and become stronger by putting a lot of time into the game with out having to spend a lot of money. With the addition of things like stratagems and hero gear the people who spend the most money are going to be the ones who will dominate the game. How does Evony respond to saying like Age 2 is the battle of the credit card?
5. Evony has stated that Age 2 is their focus. They are trying to figure out a way to move the Age 1 players without losing them. Many of the additions/omissions are reasons why Age 1 players don't want to go to Age 2. What is Evony's long term goal for Age 1 then? Are they ever going to have some sort of patch that adds new content while still keeping the core game in place?
6. Why has the game slowed down? Evony has increased research times, build times and troop build times. Why has this happened when so many people were asking for the game to be sped up? The 10x speed that the beta was running on actually got a lot of praise. Have they thought about speeding up the game?
7. Why did Evony rush Age 2 into it's live version when there were many beta testers telling them the game wasn't ready? Bugs and exploits that were known in the beta showed up in the live version and were never addressed. The lag that was in the beta still exists today and there still seems to be no solution. Does Evony have any plans to reimburse their paying customers in some way for selling them a half finished product?
8. Customer service. This has been a huge issue with a lot of the players. Recently Evony has taken some steps to attempt to become better in this area. One of the major complaints players still have is that all they are getting is automated responses in return. What has Evony actually done to make this area better? Have more people been hired to deal with this? Is there ever going to be a time when a player can pick up the phone and call Evony and speak with a customer service rep and have their problems handled directly by a human?
9. One new addition to Age 2 is Facebook. It seems like a great tool for attracting new customers. There have been many complaints about the resource gifting that goes on giving the non Facebook player a disadvantage. Initially this turned into and exploit before it was nerfed by Evony. Does Evony feel that Facebook gifting is a necessary thing to keep people in their game or rather something that would be good for new players coming in that would help them during the beginners protection period?
10. Battle mechanics. The Age 1 battle mechanics favored the defender too much. In a game like this the advantage should be to the defender but it was too much in their favor. Are there any plans to address the issue of range and how it relates to the battles? Has Evony considered allowing more than 100k troops (excluding war ensign) to be sent to a battle? This was something that was completely ignored in Age 2 and it seems like an area they should have addressed.
Hopefully that gives you some ideas. Hopefully I have a couple good questions in all of that. LOL!
Foxy, if the developers would love to interact with the community then why don't they? It seems like the game suggestions area would be a great place for them to do this. Generally speaking those threads usually stay on topic and I am sure that speaking with the community would help create more ideas for them.
I agree with Acer, would be nice to have some more info on the Merges and also to know when the SS's will be re-merged.
I think its great that the Dev's are setting up an interview. I have no idea why some people dont like this idea.
Im loving your question:
2.) The new additions to Heroes really give the game new depth, but were very unsure about the hero level cap, can we expect this to removed, or at least upped as the game progresses?
Cant wait to see the answer
Sig thanks to Ravenwings!Retired
Bump .
Do any of the developers speak English?
LMAO! UMMM ok! This has to be a joke! Why on earth did you get singled out and help me understand why on earth you should be the one to decide what is most important! Let me throw this out there on the off chance that this is real! Can you ask the DEVS WTH they were thinking merging only 2 servers into a Super Server so that it is 100 miles between players? Ok and on another note.. Ask them WHY they cut the Medal drop rate on said super server to 1% of the drop rate it was before we merged? Yeah I am on ss9!
