lol, seeing as rota dosent want to be a mod, im going to have to go for TCWNME he's the top of my list next to rota (sorry other guys :O)

XD even if i was twice as helpful as TCWNME i think there would be a small problem preventing me for modship :X

It's not about me having a problem with them, or anything they have said.

It's about the behavior they have when they encounter certain posts. There is a way a moderator should conduct themselves, and a certain amount of knowledge they should have about the game when posting. I could point you to several threads where I have seen responses that show no qualities of a moderator.

I'm just saying that some of these suggestions are not on par with the current moderating staff.

I'm really not sure who I would nominate (even if the nomination doesn't count )... I know one of my two favorite choices has refused to be a Mod (Rota) and the other one recently joined the moderating team (DCJerboa).

I can only hope the next moderator(s) chosen will be kind, tolerent, and know how to joke around a little. (take Wildor's example above LOL).

It's not that I'm unwilling to mod the forums for Evony. I'm just currently unemployed, so I can't bring myself to make any kind of commitment for time and effort as a volunteer. I need to get paid first, then I would decide where to commit my free time.

But, if Evony is hiring, I would be happy to consider any available options I qualify for. I would love to be an ombudsman, if they're looking for one. But, there's many jobs I could probably fill.

    Default Golden Opportunity

Come on Evony, someone who knows the game and who has the respect of a majority of the players on the forums? Get off the ball and offer this guy a job!

I appreciate the thought, but I don't want this to turn into a thread advocating they give me a job. I'm on the job hunt in my home area, and if I get one, then it's all good. I don't have any computer programming type schooling, so I doubt Evony would have a place for me. I'll find something soon enough, I hope.

Until then, I shall remain The Jobless Wonder.

Just based on your grasp of the English language, and displayed altruism, you should be hounded by job offers in your local area. It is 100x easier to send someone on a typing course, than teach them English. It seems nowadays your own personal networking is more important than a fancy resume or its substance. Reach out to friends and friends of friends, and keep your chin up.

As for mods, Snott has the perfect temperament and personality, if he feels confident in his knowledge of the game and forums enough to hold such a position. Maybe WN1_Hit, who has exhibited great knowledge of the game. I must confess I don't follow too many posters, as I think posting on these forums has dwindled in the last month or two. Time for some new peeps to make their mark.
