It seems to me that the goal of the game designers should be to get the player to the end game. This should be done totally for free and should be able to be accomplished in about 4-6 month time frame. I would guess that the longer someone plays this game the more likely the odds of them spending money get. So, if you are going to stymie their progress, they are most likely going to quit and not spend money. This is exactly what you are doing with the drop rates for Age 1 and Age 2 servers.

Making money on things like medal boxes or hero material should be secondary. If someone wants to purchase these things, than you should consider that to be a bonus. Focus on making your money on what people like most about your game. Nation building and War. Things like speed ups, teleports and stratagems should be where you want to make your money.

Remember that you are selling us on your product. There are a bunch of other games out there that are competing against you for our dollar.
The decisions you are making on both Age 1 and Age 2 are making the game NOT FUN. Once it isn?t fun anymore then we will be off to the next game that is fun.
