    Secret to Age II is....

Don't build troops or defenses except as needed for prestige and you can do that in some uber city that can't be colonized. Mine your little heart out because this is farmville where we got rid of all that bullying stuff.

Laugh because you will never have your resources stolen....ever. Laugh because you won't have to defend your city....ever. There is no way to stop you from building now. You now have a territory game in which there is no way an opponent or an alliance can make someone move (unless they want to get barbed or taken over). You now have a war game in which you are really a mafia guy getting your protection money when you go to "war."

From an alliance standpoint and a warfare standpoint, Age II is completely dead. The way you run an alliance and deal with warring alliances is so pitiful that it makes all but the most ardent farmer prestige farmer sad.

As someone mentioned above, npc's regenerate troops, wall defenses and loyalty very fast. The only way to conquer one is to send successive waves at it, each one hitting within a few seconds of the previous and next waves, so that in the course of a 6-minute turn, you have taken the loyalty all the way down (or close to it at least). Needless to say, you need a lot of troops to do this, and a high level rally pt and feast hall to keep the waves going without running out of space or needing to wait for a hero to get back to send another wave out.

As for the Age 1 thing, if you joined through FB, you don't have a separate Evony account, which is why you can only access age 2. Go to evony.com and register with the same email you use for Facebook. Start a game on one of the Age I servers, then the next time you log in, you should have the option to link your Age 1 and Age II accounts.

Age II is making much more $cash than Age I.

In Age II, I have about 45 Evony Happiness chest and about 15+ Easter chests. This is in about 3-4 weeks of playing.

In Age I, I was getting less than 10 chests per event.

Age II is a good business plan.

    1. barbarian npcs regenerate their loyalty over time so if you want to conquer one of them, you have to send enough troops in waves so you are constantly attacking it, lowering their loyalty and not giving it time to regenerate its loyalty - it's not something brand new in A2, it was exactly the same in A1, so why are you complaining about it now?

    2. not being able to attack someone else is obviously going to be changed soon, otherwise there wouldn't be techs and buildings related to plundering; what i hear is that they disabled the attack option during beta stage so that people could test out their new colonization function but it quickly became obvious that, coupled with this new 'historical city' concept, it was vulnerable to wide variety of abuses so they didn't active the attack option at the start of going live.
No as stated earlier I have never played A1. That at least answers my question. Beta with a disabled feature. When will we be able to attack?

well my thing with age 1 is tho that you do get bullied as you make an account thats why there are so many servers, because they have to keep making new ones so people can start a city in peace and not worry about starting in a pile of people with 300k+ prestige right off the bat. no one likes to be the little fish in the big over crowded pond. It's just a fact of the game. evony will one day go down not due to nobody playing but due to having more servers and worlds then they can handle. we as player created this problem ourselves by complaining in the first place. thus the customer isnt always right.

What do you think is happening on Age 2 servers? Although players aren't losing their cities, they are being colonized and once that happens they lose all PvP functions. So once they realize that can't uprise they quit because they can't play half the game now.

Well it happened. A player with a few days head start on me attempted to colonize me. I am totally new to this but I simply queued up some troops and also sent some from my other village. Won the battle after the "suppression" period.

Actually killed him off pretty easily. Was fairly fun PVP combat and I earned a medal. (as well as honor and prestige)

I see a couple things though. Vast advantage to the defender if the attacker can't add additional forces to his suppression camp but the defender can get reinforced before the battle. This does seem reasonably historical though. Castles should be difficult to take. That is why people built them!

However, since really this is a seige, I don't see any benefit of seiging. I was able to send and receive resources (including market) as well as troops at will. Clearly this isn't at all realistic. Now if there was a way to at least try and steal those incoming resources................I may not have won so easily! Reinforcements fight one round as they make a dash for the city? That might have spiced it up a bit!

Also found a bug. I used a strategy and the quest was not unlocked. Nor did the strategy work. (or maybe it did but I did not know?) In either case the item is gone and I didn't gain my quest for using it.

I would still like to see some way of plundering PVP. Surely there should be a way to do that? Maybe limited by whether the gates are open or closed? Maybe if the wall is destroyed in the colonization attempt? Maybe the stores (plunder) can only be pried open with rams and/or Catapults? Maybe you can only raid (attack for plunder) after you have successfully established a suppression camp around the city? Maybe you must establish a "plunder" camp for a certain number of hours to assemble a baggage train? Say 10% plunder per hour? There are plenty of reasonable options. The camp options actually have the potential to make this game VERY fun! It allows the defender a certain amount of time to call reinforcements or find a strategm or other way to counter. A player is not tied to the computer every moment 24/7 yet can still interact. The attacker has the risk accessment to decide 10% get in get out....or wait 10 hours in camp but maybe the defender calls in reinforcements or builds a ton of troops in his barracks!

The Viking ancestry in my blood simply can't accept that plundering a player is completely impossible.
