    I think you underestimate spambots.

not really... so a spambot can post 24 times a day before it is cut off. Big deal.. I deal with probably 1000 wheel announcements a day that I could care less to see.

People post stupid stuff on WC just to get rid of speakers. How much more stupid stuff will they post once they get 24 WC messages for free every single day?
But....the eternal ray of sunshine REALLY wanted to see you, so I helped brighten your day by removing the city from around you! ^.^

Every MMO has one of two things:
    1) World/universal chat that is full of spam
    2) Paid/severely limited world chat

We chose the second, but then we balanced that with free whispers, free alliance chat, and the ability to win speakers for free.

I guess it'll be fair on both sides if WC mods need to verify individual messages before having them posted on WC. I see a lot of players writing non-game-related stuff over WC..sometimes, mere obscene topics they should be dealing with at alliance chat/whisper. Those lucky *******s take advantage of that trumpet icon while others who really need it for gaming purposes feel deprived watching the stuff down the drain. I agree with that anti-spamming reason, but we must also campaign for responsible speaker usage.

When you're properly farming npcs, you'll have more speakers than you'll ever know what to do with.

I wish they'd take the speakers off the wheel, to be honest. Especially the 1 speaker item.

Think about this: to buy a speaker in the shop costs 3 cents. It costs 5 cents for a wheel spin (other than the daily amulet). So every time someone wins a single speaker, they are actually LOSING 2 game cents.

    PS to Foxy:

A long time ago there was a message on the Evony page about an item exchange "coming soon". I don't see that message any more, but they never implemented it either. Are they going to, ever? If not a full item exchange, how about at least letting us trade in those useless speakers for resources or a speed-up, etc.?

The wheel is a complete gamble, and that what its ment to be, most of the time you get a item more than 5 cents, so please, save the complaints, because it is a gamble, and what happens when you gamble? Sometimes you lose, getting one speaker is a good example of this

    Hope I helped! ^.^

If there were any other losing proposition on the wheel (like getting nothing, or 1 piece of wood/ore or something), I would agree with you. But that is not the case. As far as I can tell, the 1 speaker thing is the ONLY losing proposition on the wheel - and it's not always there, because the items available change with every spin.

Since Dawnseeker stated Evony does not make any money on speakers, then it shouldn't matter if they give away 1 or 10. All I'm saying is, if we're going to have speakers on the wheel, at least make them equal to the value of other items (ie: min of 5 cent value). They could do this by changing it from 1 to 2 speakers, or by making them all 10 packs of speakers. Or, remove them completely and replace them with something equally non-helpful, but valued at 5 cents.

Or - how about removing them and replace with an amulet instead? Then when you land on that spot, you don't win any items, but you get another chance on the wheel?
