    While I mostly agreed with the rest of your post of this game being exceedingly newbie unfriendly, the above simply isn't reasonable in a realistic point of view. When George Bush #1 dropped the first bomb on Iraq, it was the middle of the night. Same with Bush #2. Pearl Harbor was started on a Sunday morning when everyone was asleep or hung over from night before. Then there were the soldiers inside the trojan horse creeping out at the middle of the night to do their things. Attacking when your opponent is counting sheep is a realistic part of a war game I think.

    I am i very lager player on my sever and i dont hit noobs. most of the time i wont hit anyone under 50k presitge if not 90k

    I do the exact same thing If someone starts evoking conversation with me and they have somewhat of a personality and at least nice and cordial I will not plunder them. Further, I do the same as Bickyz.

    Well its nice that people are friendly to the players around them. I havent seen that at all. I have watched the players beside me who are not in an alliance....their prestige does not grow for days. I farm them. I have no problem with that.

    Additionally the pearl harbor reference. Yes sneak attacks happen but in real life their are admirals, generals and soldiers who jump up and respond.

    In a game like this which in my opinion is a Massively Multiplayer Online game....when your attacked your troops sit in their barracks sleeping. The workers hand over your resources without a fight. Or the general charges into battle screaming fight or die........and it is fight or die.

    Its all or nothing.....the mentality of the programers must all be ex Japanesse Samarais or something. Every battle is a complete annhilation for one side or the other. No such thing as a strategic withdrawl by a general you pay to win battles not get massacred.

    The argument that night attacks are realistic won't wash; when Bush dropped bombs at night, when Pearl Harbour was attacked, when the Greeks clambered out of the horse and opened the city gates, the defenders woke up...

    All these things are to make the game harder and more fun for you if it was easy we would beat it and it would be boring.

    everyday is night time for someone and daytime for another

    since this is a world wide game, then there are workarounds,
    buddy buddy system.

    keep a buddy whos awake when your asleep to station ome trrops in your city.

    or keep your gates open when you sleep.

    there are loads of possibilities.

    the only flaws really evony has are:

    1. lack of customer feedback through email and forums.
    2. server bandwidth issues (think they use Virtual hosting)
    3. its done on the cheap (again lack of reliable servers)
    i,e, basic packages allowing 4k-100k connections a second.
    4. server uptime (related to 2 and 3)

    since theplanet prides itself on reliability, uptime and 24/7/365 operations.
    somethings got to be wrong on evony side?

    maybe cost implecations who knows no difintive answer has been provided.

    possible solutions:
    1. limit number of accounts per server
    2. increase bandwidth.
    3. limit 1 account to play max of 2 servers.
    4. quit advertising (until 1-3 are completed)
    5. a nice friendly messgae when server can't connect popping up in the browser window saying:

    sorry this server is temporarily down please do not refresh constantly and wait 15 mins before trying again.

    6. possibly utilizing teh planets data center in europe,
    by having maybe a US servers and European servers and a global server.

    6 would alleviate bandwidth problems and connectivity issues, by decreasing latency
