Ok, this is my first guide ever so let?s see how it goes, and well I?m a little bored.
Alright this is a guide on how to capture a Lv. 10 NCP, here are some things to know:
Technologies: Tech is very important when attacking Lv.10 NCPs. Archery MUST be at Lv.10 in order for your attack to be successful. Some people say that you need to have all combat technologies up to Lv.10, it is not required, however, it will reduce your losses, around Lv8 or 9 will be enough to start.
There are rumors that compass Lv.10 messes up your attacks, but it just really depends on how you attack it, however I will not discuss that here, since I?m assuming that if you want to capture a Lv.10 you must have at least attacked one already. (Combat technologies usually include Military Tradition, Iron Working, Archery, Compass, Horseback Riding and Medicine.)
Heroes: You will need several heroes in order to keep up with the NCP?s regeneration rate.
There are rumors that say that you need a hero of 180+ attack in your spearhead attack, but you can go lower, you will just have more losses. The minimum attack you can probably use is 150,
so not unless it?s your strongest hero, use a higher attack hero.
The number of heroes you will need just depends on the number or cities you plan to attack the NCP with. It is recommended to have to have 10 heroes in each city, so you can send 10 attacks at once, or 9 if you want to keep a mayor. You will need at least 4-5 100+ attack for your 2-6 attacks or so.
Buildings: As for buildings go, Rally spot Lv.10 is pretty much a must for your spearhead attack and to send more waves at a time, it is pretty necessary unless you are next door to the NCP you are taking.
Feasting hall lets you have more heroes, more heroes=more attacks, so the higher the level of your feasting hall the more attacks you can launch at a time, goes in hand with rally spot.
Ok first you will need to find the NCP that you want to capture, preferably next to you or 2-3 miles from you. This guide is intended for close range, it might be less effective for longer distance, I haven?t really tried it to be honest.
More cities close to the NCP means faster capture, however also means you will need more troops and heroes, and sharp mouse moving skills if your computer lags as much as mine.
Now that you have picked the NCP of your preference, scout it. Keep scouting until you find a Lv.10 hero of lower, I sometimes hit NCPs with higher Lvs and I don?t see much difference. I also hear this rumor that Lv.1 and Lv.2 hero are supposed to be really strong, not sure if this myth is correct, I hit one with a Lv.1 and lost 70k archers, but it might have been a coincidence.
Ok hero is good, now time for your spearhead attack, there are many different combinations to hit Lv.10 NCPs, each player adding their own spice to their attack, I prefer to send 92k archers, 2k transporters/workers/warriors/scouts. My losses are around 4.5k-6k archers on average. My techs are all Lv.10 and my hero?s attack is around the 250ish area.
After your spearhead hits, scout the NCP every minute, try to do it consistently for example 12:00:00 then again at 12:01:00 approximately, until you see the respawn of the warriors. WRITE this time down!!
What I did was I wrote down the time when the warriors came, also write the time every six minutes after that, example 12:01,12:07, 12:13 etc?
These are the times you want to AVOID, you have a 4-5 minute window between each respawn to do as much damage as you can.
The first set of waves is the most costly troop wise, this is because most of the traps, towers, logs and rocks have been rebuild because of the LV.10 Machinery of the NCP. These first set of waves(first 6-8) should include somewhere around 30-40k archers with some 10k warriors and little layers of about 100 of pike, swords and scouts for precaution. These waves will be headed by your second strongest hero, third strongest, fourth strongest and so on according to when they hit. These figures can be tweaked a little if you feel you can get better results with you own combination.
Most likely after for first set of waves the NCP will have respawned 10% of its troops and defenses, so you want your leading wave to have around 20-30k archers with layers to kill off the warriors and towers. The next waves can be either archer waves of around 10k or warriors waves of 10k, archers are a little faster, but if the NCP is really close to you it won?t be so bad sending warriors, they are cheaper. Try using camp time to set your attacks to hit within the 4-5 minute window, when on the attack screen, if you look at the bottom left corner it says when the attack will hit, since you have the times written down you know exactly when to hit and what times you avoid.
You are almost done, just keep repeating the process, it won?t take too long, I conquered my first Lv.10 in 30 minutes using two cities, one next door and the other five miles away.
Well that is pretty much it, if you have any questions or concerns I will happily answer to the best of my knowledge.
If I missed anything let me know too, I might have rushed this guide
Thank you
