Guys, I just said this thread is allowed to go on precisely because members were showing admirable restraint and cool headedness.

Can we keep it that way?

Truth is you get even more perks playing age 2 and there is a new learning curve and thats not just for the players thats for the dev's and Admins. With all the new things happening in the game it's not surprising some will be upset while others rejoice the point here is to remember whether for or against everyones voice helps shapes this live game we are here as a result of our best praise and criticism at Evony and i am happy to be part.

I have to say one thing in regard to Brightfang's post:

The gift issue is NOT fixed - at least not on na9. I have not gotten a single reward pack for visiting friends and enhancing their resources. In regard to the posts for extra wood/cavalry/pikes, etc, I seem to get the troops most of the time, but not the other goodies. And I have accepted several gifts from FB friends that still do not appear in my chest (yes, I check the gift box and chest several times a day, and I've taken to recording how much wood/iron/stone etc I have before clicking on someone's post, to see if it shows up - it doesn't).

On top of that, my cousin is playing on the same server. She's got a lv 4 city with 50k prestige, is in an alliance, and I have her coords on my CL. She's sent me mail and I've responded. She's even visited my city and boosted my resources (I got the mail, but not the pack). But when I try to visit her city to return the favor, it says "character not created". Really? Then who is this woman I've been writing to and whose city appears on the map right where it should be every day?

So, while there are some features of Age II that I really like (the hero gear, hero quests, the new graphics, animations, being able to earn cents from helping other players, etc.), even the bugs that are supposed to be fixed are not fixed universally, and the whole colonization thing is just NOT for me. I am only on na9 right now to help my cousin learn the game - although with these bugs, she's getting frustrated too, and may quit. If she goes, I go too. I will stick with s142, where I know how the game is supposed to work, can attack anyone I please, and I don't have to spam my FB wall with all these non-working gift announcements.

I find that the game is far less about skill or money and far more about how much time you have to play. Sure everything requires at least a little skill, and some of the items give good advantages. But nothing can compare to being able to play 16 hours a day. The longer you play the more you can train heroes, farm npc's, build cities, farm people etc... etc... In my opinion the advantages gained by skill and coins is far smaller than the advantages gained from extra online time.

(This is in regard to Age I only, I don't play and have no intentions of playing Age II)

I'm talking about Age II. I can't farm NPCs until I can build Ballistas and Transporters, get a good hero, get a lot of Transporters and Ballistas in a short amount of time, and have a good level of items on my hero.

I think it's stupid that you need to buy a key to open the Evony happiness chests, and they are just piling up in my Chests tab. I have about 20 hours a day to play (not lying) but I have no speed-ups, and when I am upgrading a building it takes hours, same with researching. Upgrading my hero takes ages, since I still can't do level 1 NPCs and the biggest valleys I can take are level 6s. Appointing my attacking hero a mayor just takes it ages to get enough XP to level up.

And if I leveled by attacking valleys it would still take ages. So I'm not gonna sit there for 20+ hours waiting for my archery or whatever to reach level 9... Yes I can do other things but it still takes ages.

The least the developers can do is make it so that you can trade 10,000 coins for 1 game cent.

You can raid lv 1-3 npc's with just warriors and either workers or transpos. At least you can in Age 1, and I don't think that part has changed in Age 2.

Well it takes me 5 hours to make 200 archers... My warriors are 13 seconds EACH. Yea I know I gotta build more barracks... And anyway my attack hero is a level 12... And even appointing it mayor or attacking valleys still takes ages to make it level. Her stats were the same at level 3 except attack. Some people tell me I got lucky in the Inn, since she had around 60 attack at level 3 when I got her.

If you think about it then there isn't much cash can do to get u a good army
High honor can also mean someone who gets it dumped on them alot and doesn't have a clue how to give it all back.

High prestige can be gained just by playing normally and farming lvl 10's the entire day...or by those wastes of alliance space who go down to a single city and low townhall and throw away their troops.

prestige is not a good grade of skill
and the ones hittting the tens to get prestige as you say are going to be the very strong ones later because most the time they arent doing it for the prestige they are doing it for the hero exp
