65th Annyversary of Victory over Nazis

-Tomorrow will be 65 years since the defeat of Nazi empire...and the end of the worst war on earth..... I would like everyone on this forum to remember the great heroes of all countries (Soviet Union, United States, England, French, etc)
-We will always thank them for what they have done to defeat Nazi empire.
-If you know anybody who has been helping against Nazis...Thank Them.

-And as there has been "Pokemon Week", I would like this to be "World War II" week.....so please make your avatar/signature something that reminds you of the World War II....

It wasn't totally the end of the war, Japan was still killing American soldiers until August.

However, I'll stop being such a history moron and pay respect to those who lost their lives fighting Hitler's tyrannical rule.

Well officially V-E day(Victory in Europe) has happened so Nazi has lost though, many more month they still continued to fight against Soviet's, but yes war between United States and Japan has ended on September 2, 1945. (V-J day)

Actually, the Nazis confirmed their surrender on may 7th... it was a day or two before it was broadcasted, however.

Political thread is political. I'd like to say all sides of this war were bad. Germany was given too much time to conquer. Stalin was a jackass. Britain and France wouldn't do anything until it was too late. And America failed to care about the outside world.

Don't even get me started on WWI.

I'm supporting this, as we're learning it IN DETAIL, in history classes, which I happen to be taking.

I don't know with what picture yet, but I pay my respects to the people who offered their lifes in the war, many knowing, that they would die. Sometimes, I think, if it wasn't for that war, we won't be where we are today, if it wasn't for that war...But it was a real big price to pay. And..it was senseless...though that's my opinion!
