Taking over NPC cities from far
Is it possible? I'm not talking level 10, but level 5 and lower. Say I want to make a city 200 miles from where I am and there's no flats, is it even possible to take over an NPC from that far? I'm thinking no, unless I'm missing something.
Guess the other option is with 2 extra town slots, I could just keep taking over closer NPCs then abandon and "walk" there. Would be long though.
Also, what happens when a server has no more flats left? Do NPCs start to vanish, or is it tough luck? What about if someone new tries to join that server?

the NPC 200 miles away would be you would need camptime so all the waves hit in the same time or close to it

But that's only 10 waves, or is there ways to actually take an NPC with such a small amount of waves? Guess you could attack from multiple cities too, and get others to help and time all the attacks.

You can do it with any level npc , a remote takeover
There are several guides on how to do it, but in general, you need to use several citys, minimum 3 for level 10s ( assuming loyalty waves are cav, that use less round to overcome, and drops more loyalty in avg per round than archers )
Basicly you camp timer your attacks, to all hit within a very short amount of time to avvoid the server repop of the npc, your first attacking beeing the clearing wave, followed up by 2-3 slightly larger waves to take care of remaining ATs and traps, as well as dropping loyalty as much as possible, before your loyalty clearing waves all hit after that
For 10s :
If the NPC is within walking distance for archers, i would recommend using that as the first wave, i dont remember exactly how far they can go without transporters adding in.
If the npc is too far away for archers to do the clearing wave, you can do it with cataphracts,. they can do it up unntil around 150 miles. Further than that, your clearing wave need to consist of cavalry. expensive, but works. But in lategame age 1, with a strong hero, they are rebuilt rather fast
