But wait, it gets better, if you actually use a script, then with level 10 stockpile, you get an additional 200k space, for a grand total of 1.1 million resource space. But wait, it gets even better than that, if the attacker has maxed privateering (assuming it's 3% per level, rather than only leaving 3% protected) then you lose 30% of that space, and you only get to store 630k resources (770k with a level 10 warehouse).

It also does not store anything in any open space (from the % space allocation you set); in other words, if you set each to 25%, set a queue that uses up all of one of the resources, then it'll only hold 75% of what it can hold, the unprotected amount of any other resource will be left unprotected.

So, you get to lose everything when you get attacked and have no gold to heal your wounded troops, or you lose everything except 630k resources and have no gold to heal your wounded troops. You also have no wall defenses left, your public grievence needs to be taken care of from that 630k resources, you need to start 'rebuilding' from that 630k resources, and your attacker is probably going to make another withdrawl from your city within a day at most wiping out your rebuilding attempts.

Perhaps they're not 'supposed' to be used in the endgame since they're not worth the time, space, or resources for the amount of resources that they 'protect'? And then if that's the case, why would a new player city build it in the first place, when there's so many other things that need to be built (with the time, space, and resources available) for an even more pathetic amount of resource 'protection' (maybe 50k-100k resource protection depending on how much effort was put into this area)?

So, with how pathetic warehouses are, there was really only the market as resource protection for them, if they built up the market enough to have enough trades on the go. And it was likely your complaining has taken that away from them ... way to go.

Thank you, Pocket. I'd have answered this earlier, but Mother Nature decided to send us a thunderstorm that took out my internet.

Anyhow...as I said: Warehouses are basically worthless, and there is your explanation as to why. New players simply can't build or research them to help them in any meaningful way, and what fully maxed and teched warehouses offer an older player is an insult to the time and gold spent building and researching them. It is far easier for a player to research Privateering than it is to research Tech 10 Warehousing, in terms of time, gold, resources AND Scripts.
