I think this is what makes the Age II battle system great. If someone bullies you or colonizes you, you can make their life hell out of spite.......and its why they need to add a conquest or attack button.

i cant be the only one who thought this on age2.
but i did start doing it.
i know they get 10% from all there colonies but this cost them more than the colonies give them,
but heres a lil thing, the colonizers can do this 2 but wont want to since they are busy doing other things,
plus all there conquers just play this an there messages will fill up. then the 99 hr camp will make them not check there attacks as much killing there early warnings.
best part of this is,,,, u do not have to be active, thats right kiddys this is a thing where u log on an say lets ruin there day for 30 mins u farm valleys, then maybe afew hrs or the next day or when ever u do the same thing, but better to be a constant bug in there butt

Since we seem to be stuck with this system, I hope that all those who find the ideas presented here "good ideas" experience one of the following:
You get a job and one of the individuals not getting the job decides to set your car on fire. You, of course, attempt to file a police report. Societies that work best tend to let individuals solve most of their own problems. Colonization ensures that a player can't do that anymore. It isn't hard to map out the logical progression that occurs if the ability to act without consequence isn't addressed. Colonization didn't solve the bully problem and it darn sure created a whole bunch of new ones.
ok so let me understand what you are saying,
that if u are colonized just give up an do nothing,
by societies in the past, it works just as i put it lets give examples.

First, consider the end game of what you are proposing. Let's make colonizing such a drain that no one does it. I am sure that would make the prestige farmers happy.
As to founding fathers and such, there was a risk incurred by them and virtually every other "underdog" who threw off their oppressor. That "all hang together or all hang seperately" isn't just a line. This isn't that. There is no risk to a colonized player who maliciously emails, whispers and plays a valley terror game. And terror is exactly what it is. Like a terrorist, there is nothing you can do to hurt them and the "warfare" is so assymetrical that you can't fight it.
I don't like colonization because I don't think it's an easier "burden" on players who lose in attacks. I think it's a slow death that isn't more merciful than a quick if painful one you can more easily leave behind and, hopefully, move on in that server or another one. You can make colonized players out to be martyrs and make these tactics out to be acceptable for "freedom fighters" who need to use every tool available to them. You may even be right because it certainly engenders the desire to wipe out the opposition through naked power. Fortunately or unfortunately, that's not really an option in Age 2 where we've made it safe to be a "freedom fighter" without fear of reprisal.
Congratulation freedom fighter. In my book, you're more like a kid who is losing in a board game and decides to throw the board off the table so no one can play. However, I am sure that's not how you see it.
well as i have stated b4 , i see it as a big **** you to them, now there huge players dont care but there 300-700k pres players are ****ed right now, an im finding them more an more listing there cords searching out there valleys an whack like an ****ole in the night i come an liberate there lvl1-10 valleys
