The Frustrations of Moving from Thuringia to Carinthia
I'm going to tell you a story.
Part 1: The Tension Builds
A couple of weeks ago I believe, I began having trouble with an EXODUS member named juves. You might have read about it in one of my obviously unpopular rant posts. He scouted my city, unsuccessfully, and I asked him why. That was my mistake. Juves was very hostile towards me. He replied saying "Don't expect to be a high level sitting with all those resources and not get them taken." The next day, I was attacked.
After a couple of skirmishes and plunders, the conflict died down. However, it was when he started conquering my valleys when the story gets rather violent. I messaged him, conquered a few of the valleys back, then he plundered me a few times. He had an army probably about eight times the size
of mine, as I would later find out. I moved all of my resources to a colony in Carinthia, hoping he wouldn't attack anymore. Well, that wasn't the end of the story. Just recently, he attacked again, and I decided it was time to go, I would never be able to fight back and win in the near future.
Part 2: Attempt One
As mentioned earlier, I have a colony in Carinthia, meaning its one city set apart from all my others. Well, when I had decided to move, I sent all of my army to that city. Taking six hours to arrive, my army successfully reached the city at a cost of somewhere over one million units of food. To my surprise,
my army had been en route back to my old city right when it arrived at the colony. Panicking, I looked to see that juves had sent ten armies totaling upto
160K at my main city. Frantically I stored the food needed for the next attempt at moving my army in my marketplace. I was safe - for now.
Part 3: Another Try
After taking ten more blows to my main city, my loyalty/grievance was at 26/50. I would have sent my army back to the colony city right away, but they had returned from their first journey yet. After a nervous wait, they were off again. My plan was to abandon my old city once they got to the colony, that way they combined with the colony's army. Unfortunately for me,
I had made yet another mistake. After seven and a half hours, I was disheartened to find that there wasn't any room in my Feasting Hall at the second city! Will I successfully evade the tyrant known as juves? Find out in the continuation of The Frustrations of Moving from Thuringia to Carinthia.
