    Default PvP and PvE

    It seems that most of the changes being made to game are based around the fact that people can not defend themselves from the "bullies".
    I understand and respect that certain people enjoy the game but don't have the time to play.
    I've been on both sides, a very active "Bully" and a not so active "Victim" so i can relate to both.

    However, this eventually leads to people using other players accounts to "keep them safe". It also leads to multi-accounting which is violates the Terms of Service.

    Eventually after all that, it turns a great game like Age I (Conquer and destroy) a real time strategy game into Age II.....(Farm Prestige, Colonize wars) a sit back, farm and conquer NPC's game.

    Sure, Age II has brought in some awesome new ideas, graphics and game play. It has also taken away what for me (and many others) the best part of the game which is Player Vs. Player.

    I wont get into that whole discussion.
    I suggest that Evony make PvP servers and PvE servers.
    Perhaps with different rules for different servers.

    PvP Server - Age I rules: Capping cities, farming 10's, building NPC's
    PvE Server - Age II rules: Prestige building, NPC's are the focus.


    Bringing back city capturing is a huge part of the game for fighters (aggressive players). It would keep me here and perhaps bring others back to the game.


    I've been playing since Beta and I'm sure my account is one of the oldest in Evony. I've seen the ups and downs in all aspects of the game. As a fighter and a warrior I enjoyed the conquering and defending. It is the only reason I played and the only reason I spent money.
    Personally I like Age II, its a nice change but it is already wearing off. Colonizing is cool, I guess....but it doesn't come close to lowering loyalty and taking someones city.

    Truthfully, I dont know what the point of alliances or wars will be in AgeII. Cities can not be taken and removed, resources can not be taken to cripple your enemies either. Forget about claiming states....enemies can literally keep their cities there indefinitely even if colonized and there is nothing that can be done about it.

    I just hope Evony can make some kind of change to the system. Guaranteed they are making enough money off AgeII to disregard this post but for some serious players and long time fans of the game some gratuity would be greatly appreciated. If not, theres always other games to play.

    I do hear talk of incorporating conquest mode into age 2 which would make age 2 like age one something like if your baron or above you can attack but not the lesser ranks only above.

    Then you would have to remove the "free forever" or increase the medal drop rate...

    To be honest, I think the best way to avoid the bully scenario is to implement a few simple changes:

    1. Create a comprehensive tutorial that points out specific strategies for creating a battle city (ie: how many cottages, how many barracks, the importance of wood/iron, etc.) and provide that tutorial every time someone registers on a new server.

    2. Extend Beginner protection to at least 2 weeks, and don't make it dependent on town hall level. That way new players can build a stronger city and a much larger army before they become vulnerable to attacks. Those who know what they are doing and want to exit BP early could do so simply by switching their status or using an item that can be included in the newbies pack.

    3. Give newbs a production buff for those first two weeks so they can build a strong city and decent size army without having to wait or come out of BP early to farm npc's for resources. (Allowing them to raid npc's would help too - no reason to prevent that just because they can't be attacked by other real players.)

    4. Give an experience boost to newb heros, so they can level up without having to exit BP - or allow npc raiding from BP so they can level their heros that way.


    With these things, new players would have a much more fair chance of being able to defend themselves when they get out of BP, and with a good enough tutorial, a lot more knowledge about HOW to defend themselves.

    lol your still complaining about the drop rate? play age one for awhile on one of the new servers then tell us what you think about the age 2 rate last i heard they doubled the rate twice for age 2

    I wasn't aware that "NPC field defense" was a strategy. Its never stopped me or many others I know from getting to who they want and shouldn't even be a valid point for discrediting Age I.

    I get a "treasure" every 2 times I hit a lv 3 NPC. Not once have I gotten a medal in... maybe 100 attacks?
