    Default holiday bug?

I was on holiday for 4 days tell i open it today and i notice i lost half of my resource half of my wall defense and half of my troops were gone. Is there a bug on holiday? or my troops gone for holiday to?

When a player is placed on holiday mode during their suspension, then when they return they will be missing half of their troops/resources/defenses. It's the second half of the punishment.

The OP didn't say he was PUT on holiday (ie: suspension). He said he was ON holiday.

    We need clarification on that:

Did you choose to go into holiday mode and pay for it with game cents, or were you put into holiday mode temporarily due to an infraction.

If you were forced into holiday mode as part of a suspension, then the losses are part of the punishment, as was noted above. But if you voluntarily went into holiday mode because you were going to be away from the game, then you should not have lost anything - your account should have been frozen exactly as it was when you invoked holiday mode.

If your holiday was voluntary, I recommend putting in a support ticket, as the system may be misreading it as a forced holiday instead of a voluntary, paid holiday.

    1) I suspect he said he was on holiday, to avoid saying he was "put" on holiday suspension.

    2) It could also be an extreme coincidence that he entered holiday mode, himself for four days. But, a half-day into the time, his account was put on suspension for 3 days. Then the suspension ended and the troops/resources were cut in half per standard protocol. His regular holiday mode then continued for a half a day until he turned it off.

Option 1 is more likely, but option 2 is not an impossibility.

If it's used for punishment only, why are you able to put your own account on holiday? People think they can put their account on holiday, go on vacation, come back and all is well when in fact it is not. The fact that you are able to put your own account on holiday makes it very confusing.

"Holiday Mode" is NOT made for punishment. It is merely the mode they use as a courtesy during a player's suspension, because it freezes upkeep and makes cities immune to attack. Evony could have been real jerks and just leave suspended accounts in "peacetime" for three days, leaving them vulnerable to refuges and attacks. Also, if the made a "suspended" mode, then the player could become a pariah, and Evony isn't looking to scarlet letter anyone. The use of "holiday" has a nice anonymity to people just looking at the city on the map screen.

Hmm - interesting idea. Raises a couple of questions though:

    1. If he went into holiday mode voluntarily, what could he have done while not even playing to earn a suspension? Wouldn't any infraction of the rules have been handled before he went on vacation?

    2. If he voluntarily invoked holiday mode, and then was suspended in the middle of it - does his account still get dinged for the 10 cents per day during the suspension days because the original holiday mode was voluntary?

What I really want to know is if you choose holiday mode voluntarily, do you lose half of everything when you come back from holiday?

Of course not. You aren't being suspended, so you won't get the suspension punishment.
