AGE II Report
If you are looking in the bug forum to see whether your issue has already been reported, please do not bother. The moderators are continuing a practice of not posting valid bugs. The bugs that are being fixed are minor ones. The ones that continue, especially the "unreported" ones that do not make it through moderation, are fairly severe. For those who are not experiencing the joy of Age II, here's a recap of some of the joy.....
1. Prestige Bug - Prestige is not accruing properly and, in extreme examples, a player's prestige will come to a virtual standstill. The possible cuplprit is that the "calculator" is a few decimal points off when it assigns fractionalized points for city level. It is not universal, however, and seems to be specific to players or a set of players with common factors that have yet to be determined. Improper prestige point assignment is cropping up more as players become bigger.
2. Suppression Bug - The "dread hanging blue bar" remains an issue. This can cause an automatic defeat in the colonization effort and will result in away troops running through food for no gain. A rough guesstimate of the failure rate in the suppression counter is 30-50% of the time. The factors that determine why and when the bar get "stuck" have not been explained and Evony has offered no solution or directly acknowledged the subject. In fact, many comments have attempted to deflect this problem by intimating they have solved a suppression bug timer issue. What they have "solved" isn't this.
3. Lost Patrols and Missing Troops - While nowhere near as bad as initial problems, troops sent out can still become "lost." This happens most often when attacking or defending valleys. The continuing issue happens when a player does not remain connected and the reason that some troops get lost and others don't is not fully understood (by me anyway).
4. Colony Resource and Troop Drafting - The resources reported as generated in colonies is sometimes in error. This can be especially true if the city is growing. If a player takes the time to calculate actual gains in a 24-hour period, however, they will find that there is an extensive number of times that the resources that should have been transferred and added to the suzerain city were not. If a player were to scout a city prior to drafting troops, they would also find that the troop reported and used to assign a draft and the actual troops are not the same.
5. Indestructible Towers - There is a bug in L10 NPCs that causes the archer towers to remain unattacked. This, of course, causes any troops sent to be killed rather than a standard loss rate. In some cases, it's just a "normal" L10 and the attack goes as planned. This bug has been reported many times and players obssess over hat they did wrong (ATT too low?, etc.). The moderators have received numerous reports with accompanying data that could have eased those player's minds. Instead, they have found not one of these reports worth posting in the forum.
I could go on for a while if you would like. However, I think we all get the point. The bugs above aren't small ones. I am not a big fan of prestige but, if we're gonna use it as the scorecard, accuracy would help. I've personally been "stuck" at 1.25 million for around a week now. Colonization is an interesting idea executed badly. However, interesting or not, virtually every mechanic involved is hugely bugged. Troop losses to bugs are huge and frustrating.

Bug Forum Changes
Immediately, the moderation of the bug forum needs to improve or be eliminated. Many (most?) valid reports of bugs are not getting past the filter. This has permanently frustrated most players from reporting bugs. Attacking the player base by saying that most reports were bogus and unhelpful was so insulting that I personally eliminated the goodwill bank account. That attempt to redirect fault onto the players was really wrong. Period.
Make a List
Developers hate making lists of existing bugs and committing themselves in any way to solving them. There are a lot of reasons why this is ordinarily good policy. In this case, however, the developers have painted themselves into a corner. They ignored bugs and allowed a game to leave beta that really shouldn't have. Period. Fundamental errors and incomplete thinking. This is pick up the pieces time and keep the player base. Disaffection is already taking hold due more to the stonewalling than the bugs. It's Evony. We expect bugs. However, the bugs that aren't being solved are too important not to acknowledge and give more proactive reports on what is being done. There just isn't enough goodwill.
Come Clean on Colonization
We've reached a point where you can't hide the issues with Age II. The meta aspects of colonization are now beginning to really show themselves. PvP action is a "loser's bet" with increasingly smaller chances of success and dwindling returns. Making the game "safe" has created as much bad behavior as it has "solved." That's if the system were working perfectly which it is, of course, not. Conquest was a halfhearted attempt to acknowledge the meta issues and try to satisfy the disaffected. The game is going to need a lot more than that and sooner rather than later.
