    Default Am I over reacting

    I need a little perspective.

Okay so I just got a new job and a guys been attacking me while I am at work. Its annoying but I can deal. Thats the game, except he does it every week roughly at the same time so I assume he knows that I am at work becuase I told him. Again its annoying but its the game.

But my Grandma died so I told him to lay off for a few days while I dealt with some "life stuff"

He attacks me during my grandmother's funeral which ticks me off. Later I have a candid discussion where the guy tells me I should have truced or gone into holiday mode which a would have cost money I don't have and also even if I could have done it this once I can't do that every day.

What really ticked me off is even if he didn't know I was at a funeral he didn't seem to care after the fact. No my condolences, apology, or hey I didn't know. Just a you should have truced.

I am pretty ticked at the guy and just want to know if I am overreacting. How would you guys feel if you were in my shoes?

Yes, overreacting. It's just a game. Get over it.

Some people have different ethical understandings. You can't complain because someone played a game the way it was meant to be played. Though I feel sorry for you this is the way things are. Were the roles reversed you may be tempted to attack him while he were at a funeral.
But in future you could have someone account sit for a while which is allowed and doesn't cost any money.

I know the feeling. I once had an account wiped out to 1 city at 0 loy/100 grievance during a holiday.

I wasn't particularly enraged about it, but I can understand how it'd be annoying to some.

Back when I first started playing, on a server long long ago.....

The alliance I was in had a 3 day rule. If you were going to be gone for more than 3 days you had to mail the host.
I went on vacation, mailed the host as per the rules and thought all would be well.

I came back and found the host had quit, I had been booted and farmed out by my own alliance. It was early in the server so I just packed up and moved to a new one. But I was pretty enraged...LOL

If you told him , he knows , no assumption ...

btw he can attack you when ever he wants its your problem is a game he isn't breaking any rules so don't cry to the forums because you are being attacked.

How does he know your telling the truth? If you told you that at this moment I was in the hospital dying of cancer, would you believe me? I sure wouldn't, in your position.

    Default Same ol I guess

I'm not saying there should something in the game to prevent it. I just think it was a jerk move. I guess I want validation. Which goes back to my original question am I over reacting. If you politely ask someone to not attack you while you deal with some serious personal issues and they take a city while you are dealing with those personal issues is it a jerk move?

No, it's not a jerk move. See example below:

Me: "omg my daughter died in a horrific car crash when her car careened off bridge and crashed into a boat carrying my state's Special Olympics team celebrating their participation at this years national competition. i won't be online for 48 hours. please don't attack me."

Enemy: "Uh....I don't care. You're prolly making it up."

edit: man...I didn't read chris' post before I made mine.

My feeling is he could have at least given me one day. What would one day have costed him I wasn't attacking him. At least before this I wasn't.
