    Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto in 1848...

    I must say that Francesco Petrarch is my favorite because he was the one who started the Renaissance era! He is the father of Renaissance and Humanism.


    And Descartes is definately past Renaissance. He is with the Enlightenment/Scientific Revolution era. "I think, therefore I am."
