Thread: One question + One sugestion for evony

    Default One question + One sugestion for evony

    First the question:

    Is this a bug or is it just me? I've noticed lately when I check the box to build in all the barracks equally it doesn't always do it on age 2. I'm building archers, all my barracks are level 9. I have 0 troops currently building. I click 3000 then check the box to select all barracks , but not the idle ones (ive tried it both ways though) and 8 out of 10 times it jacks it up and maybe 4-6 barracks will build correctly but the other 8 will be blank etc and i have to go back and do it all manually. If this is a bug I'd like to submit it, if this hasn't been reported already. (If any mods catch wind of this).

    And for my suggestion I was wondering if you (evony) would ever be willing to implement timers on the world map. Meaning 2 things. The first is If i hover my mouse over a flat, valley, or barbarian NPC city it would show 2 things. The first being the last time it was attacked by me so I know how long ago I hit that particular spot. The second option would be it would show how long ago until it was hit by ANY player (but not reveal their coords etc). And the third and final thing would be a timer of some sort that would show how long until the valley, flat, or barbarian would fully reset and be restocked with both troops and resources. The name could even be anonymous all together so no one risks their position and it could just say hit by a player and have a timer still. Or any TYPE of variation of that system as long as it involved some sort of timer.

    Just a suggestion curious to know what you guys think. Sorry for the wall of text and poor grammar I'm was in a rush =]

    After a little messing around I discovered some of the barracks were in fact training troops but it was invisible and did not show them being trained but the timer still shows it counting down. It just doesn't show how many troops or what type so ill be resubmitting this as a bug

    Another suggestion I wanted to make was making an option to be able to LOCK a hero in at the feasting hall so he couldn't be accidentally dismissed. Like a padlock icon that will make it so they can't be dismissed etc as long as they are locked.

    Are you dismissing a lot of heroes? If so, why?

    Hero surfing. Inns above level 2 are horrible. The level gets higher but the stats stay the same. The Inn system in general IMO is broken. Often what people do to get good heros is delevel to lvl 1 inn, then buy the hero check its base stat, if attack (or other desired stat) is less than 68 they dismiss hero. You could be buying and dismissing upwards of 200 heros in 30 minutes.

    So say you buy 5 heros and go to dismiss after you dismiss one it defaults to the top hero, sometimes your mayor, sometimes not, but more than often its a hero you want to keep. if you have been dismissing heros for the past 20 minutes theres a good chance you'll auto pilot and dismiss a good hero.

    Plus, same thing honestly with Cities. If you're building tons of NPCs a day (say just after server mergers) and you constantly NPCing cities you're always worried you'll click the wrong city and NPC it.

    inb4 pay closer attention.

    Good point on the inns. Just to clarify, the problem with them is that they raise the level which "hides" the base stats of the hero which makes it harder to tell if you've got a winner, right? Any other reason not to raise the level?

    Maybe not the most fair cross section, but the lvl 10 Inn i have atm has:

    L43 P31 A23 I39
    L15 P62 A40 I59

    Another example:
    L50 P40 A32 I52
    L7 P55 A50 I42

    To get at the base stats you would have to spend 1 holy water for a lvl 1-9. But if you level your inn up to 9 or 10, to get at the base stats you'd have to spend 4-5 holy waters. And gold is a heck of a lot cheaper than holy water.

    The higher level heros not only make it most costly to find the base stats, but IMO when they spread out stats that the higher levels get they are seemingly added to whatever stat the RNG landed on. In addition the "free" levels we get are barely a noticeable when you intend on leveling the hero to to 200+, the first 40 or 50 are easily done with a few lvl 5 NPC hits. I ask, if you have to spend a Mich script why isn't the lvl50 hero better than the lvl7?

    In addition, and i know this is a tad off the OP's subject. But i would like to see Inns be done a bit different. Since the extra stats gained by a higher level hero from the Inn are rarely put to good use (rarely all in the main stat) I would like to see Inns be done much the same way they do heros from the wheel. The min base stat would depend on the level of the Inn.

    1 = 1-7
    2 = 8-15
    3 = 16-23
    4 = 24-32
    5 = 31-37
    6 = 38-45
    7 = 46-51
    8 = 52-60
    9 = 60 69
    10= 69-73
