I personally do not care about pres... simple as that...I do take it in to account if i know the person made it building troops ect
Who cares about prestige? If you're a good player, you shouldn't be afraid to attack anyone. Bottom line, if you can scout em, go for it... if you can't, they are obviously strong. Easy way to see how strong they are: count the number of level10 (or 5 for newer servers) NPCs around them. That shows you how much of an army they can support.
Prestige dropping is a fad. It will pass when the players figure a new way to manipulate the system...lol.
Funny thing is that's the first thing I thought of when I read the OP. There's maybe 2 players in my alliance who can currently send me resources of any kind and that kind of puts a bind on me. I haven't shed prestige yet, but if the problem worsens, I'll have to...
Multi-accounting is so flagrant lately that even sworn enemies are willingly whispering me from their alt accounts. It stuns me that someone would offer proof of their cheating like that. What really needs to happen is find better ways (behind the scenes) to eliminate multi accounting. If you dont want noobs sending resources to big accounts (pushing) then simply dont allow it or limit it to such small numbers it is not worth the time multi accounting.
They why have a beef at all? You know it gives you no real measure of a player's strength (kinda like scouting for low-level heros in NPCs) so why care?

+1... If people don't know how to scout to find out what kind of troops people have they shouldn't be attacking...
If your looking at someones city and like oh 15mil prestige he must have a lot of troops you should probably try and scout him. I know the prestige farmers on our server 12-20mil prestige players only have about 750,000 troops each.
While people in our alliance have 3mil prestige have close to 5mil worth of troops. Also people like myself have 2mil prestige with close to 2mil troops. If you can't get a 10% report with 500k scouts chances are he's strong then you.
Another thing, and I forgot to add it to above... you can attack without scouting. I've sort of giving up on scouting some players, knowing they have more than enough to make it HURT to scout them. Nevermind the scouts, and send phracts. lol. The last time I did that, they reinforced with, of all things, scouts. I'm not sure if their prestige was inline with their apparent (lack of) skills.

k they need to get rid of the qiuting alliance and losing prestige thing, its dumb and pointless, plain and simple.
Prestige and honor are both like HDI and GDP they are both like economic indicators and mean nothing. They just indicate how well you are doing.
I've wondered the same thing... when I first started playing, I was TERRIFIED of losing prestige. Dunno why, I guess I thought it meant something (it does mean SOMETHING but you know what I mean) and I know that lots of noobs and even some established players get stuck in alliances because they don't want to take the 10% hit...
Make it a one time thing. If you quit an alliance, you take the 10% hit. Then after that, for your entire time on the server, you don't.
Honestly, I like the system the way it works. If prestige is terribly important to you, stay in your alliance and pres hunt all day long. If it's not, drop it in order to get some action when you port to another state.
