    Default Who likes the new more public announcement friendly Dawnseeker?

    Well, last few weeks, he seems to have gotten over some reclusive habit (note, emo sig gone) and started answering some questions on the forum in DEFINITE words. Even getting us confirmation on a thing from devs.

    Well, who likes the new style of "Private Forum Governance" better than the old "No Comment" one?

    I sure like it better. Please encourage him to keep it up if u do too

    For the pubic announcement part personaly i liked it the old way where they werent constantly telling us what they were updating and stuff because I knew then that they were spending more time actually doing it than posting it on the forums.

    As for the more answerish part I didnt care one way or the other but I know alot of folks are happier with the new way.

    I've noticed it, commented on it, and love it. I can't imagine the amount of emails, messages, headaches, and nonsense Dawnseeker has to deal with, and unlike many players, I have always given the Evony devs the benefit of the doubt when problems arise. However, I feel I now know more about whats going on with things, and I think Evony had made some really good strides in communication and CRM over the past 2 months. Now if we only had a time machine to fix the Age II roll out.....

    posting a update takes maybe 10-30 minutes collectively to put into words what changed updated, which was or shoulda already been done by QA/QC production team, which i doubt they have a qa/qc team but thats besides the point. then to forward a email to your mod/community manager. and they post it.

    and most mod/cm either get meagerly stipend or some in game company profit..like as activision gives them free games monthly and lifetime/yearly WOW accounts etc.

    We're paid full-timers (so are all CMs and mods in WoW, btw). Also the idea that we don't have a QA team is ludicrous. Please stop spreading disinformation, since you do not have knowledge of this company or apparent knowledge of the industry.

    ok i personally like it better i like actually hearing back when questions are asked

    and people need to stop with the personal shots at dawn as he is not a designer

    Yeah. He's just my Evony slave. I like the announcements.

    It is disappointing though to see people mouth off at him which in the end might cause the announcements and answers to stop.

    i have tons of knowledge of the industry. and mods in WOW/activision who are not A community manager. get paid in monthly games, same as all activison ran gaming forums call of duty etc. get about 5-6 xbox or ps3 games a month. and there are plenty of ppl around to take up the job, never in short supply. only a couple active ever get paid.

    if you had QA team dawn, whats seriously going on with these huge bugs getting through that i can find within 5minutes of the servers going live after a maintenance/upgrade?

    very easy and obvious bugs. not to mention the drop rate that dont happen anymore? anyone in the QA/QC environment woulda pointed out the huge change loss of item drops: said hey this is wrong look into it fix it etc.


    PS that all any forum is is opinions and disinformation and collaboration of efforts in some threads to bring useful info out so that people can gain knowledge i gain. or to attempt a discussion on changed game mechanics, get noticed.. trying to test waters before a mod locked/ burns the thread bc they dont like what is being discussed.

    its happened before he was annoucing and answering questions quite a bit then people got all ****y and he stopped dawn no worries i for like u as much as one can like a faceless name on a computer screen

    I agree that Dawnseeker did a very nice job! =D

    But please don't forgot others which also work hard / play hard to put the game together! =D
