    Default More LVL10 disasters

    Age II server NA4.

    I know that Evony will claim variance and that is fine, but something has changed with lvl10 farming. Three of us (yea small sample size) have lost entire farming attacks in the last 2 days. Not once, but twice each. Good heros with good att and leadership (mine was 280 Att 100 leadership), war horn on, and good rainbows that have always worked in the past.

    Guess it is time to treat lvl10s as a regular attack and send a warrior wave to clear some traps and such just before the farming wave hits.

    So, who else is having Age II lvl10 farming problems and what other ideas are there for overcoming the latest Evony curve ball.

    this happens somtimes in age 1 as well, the only thing i can come up with is that there is a mars attack hero inside. lvl 39 mars hero will hurt your attack lol.

    In my case the defending heros were lvl15 and 12. Even a m\Mars 12 or 15 doesn't stand a chance against a 280 Att Lvl 100 hero. And 2 attacks in a row for each of us, we must have greatly upset the Evony gods (Devs that is).

    Obviously, that isn't exactly true since they just wiped your hero out. There are 400k warriors inside that NPC with max techs on their side and it doesn't take much for a knife edge attack to go from a win to a lose.
    But....the eternal ray of sunshine REALLY wanted to see you, so I helped brighten your day by removing the city from around you! ^.^

    Max tech on my side also. I've been playing this game for a long time and this trend of lvl10 attacks failing is getting worse. Something has changed in the battle mechanics and we need to find a better way to farm lvl10s, especially in Age II.

    So let's stop saying that it just happens, and figure out a better way to do it. I'm going to start using warrior spam before the main farm wave and calculate the cost over 10 runs. Even if it is variance, it is time to take steps to minimize variance.

    You know, unless you actually post battle reports, all that can be said is "it happens".

    The battle report looks like all the other lvl10 disaster reports. Typical rainbow and everyone dies.

    We have all seen the battle reports for lvl10 losses and it seems that the all the typical rainbows. And even when folks post a battle report, all anyone says is "it happens."

    My question is

    How do we keep it from happening so often????

    Nevermind, I'll figure out something myself and yall can keep pretending that is just variance.

    Indestructible towers....look at your report if you just had an army die. If the 3666 archer towers are untouched and you were running the standard mining attack, you just experienced it. I wonder if Evony will claim it was done on purpose to reduce mining. It certainly reduces archers. =)

    You won't find it in the bug forum but it's pretty well established by now. You can try sending a "false" first wave to "reset" the towers so they die. Like medal farming, there are lots of theories on why it happens and how to avoid it. I just write off the first wave in L10 attacks so I am pleasantly surprised when the towers aren't indestructible. You can go many times and never hit the indestructible towers or you can get unlucky and hit two in a row. Evony could look into it but they won't even accept it as a bug despite the documentation.

    about 15 LVL10 farms on Age II so far... nothing out of the ordinary

    Ow and I highly doubt that it has anything to do with the defending hero. When the warriors simply don't touch your archers anymore, the defending hero should be irrelevant.
