Congratulations for doing the right thing. Don't be too hard on yourself - you're a teenager and this is the kind of dumb stuff that happens in those years. Some kids from my high school back in the day learned that same lesson as you, but not everyone got out the car alive. You are safe, metal can be welded, and you learned a lesson.
