Default is it too late to start on 143?

I hear it has been up for a few weeks already and have been told I should wait until the new one opens.

How do you know when it is too late to start on the newest server?

I guess if everybody already has hundreds of thousands of troops there is little point since a new lord couldn't possibly catch up to that in 7 days of bp.

Pesonally i like to start within the 1st-14th days of opening anything more than that and it is gonna take some extra cash to catch up with that said if your willing to spend you can catch up on almost any server then its just a question of how much $$$ your willing to spend to catch up on a server, $30-$100 can negate time lost on a month-2 month old server if you know what your doing.

Depends on how much you play in a day.
Go ahead and try 143, see what happens.
You'll likely be able to catch up to everyone else if you apply the effort.

I've started on older servers before, and caught up. Without using cash. Does it take a little while? Sure. But it's not really that hard to do, in my opinion. The only real pain is finding space for cities/farming and catching heroes up, which can be relatively trivial if you join an alliance willing to lend you a hand.
    It's all Rodri's fault.

95% of everyone on s143 are self-proclaimed experts that got run off their old servers.

They don't know what they're doing.

Default Extra time is the problem

Time is the single most valuable resource in this game. Starting late on a server just increases the time you gotta put in to sorta catch up. And you will never catch up to the top players that stay in. My experience on other servers has revealed the time problem... really good players devote long hours and considerable coin. They learn the game well, only to burn out and disappear from the game altogether cause the time investment hurt their real life. This happens over and over and over... you know what I am talking about if you know this game.
I like the idea about joining 143 to practice the startup for 144 - if you need the practice - but our team does not. We dont want to waste our time and money to just be fresh meat on 143 - so we wait for 144.
The idea is to make the game more playable - not harder. Jeez!

Both of you have the right viewpoint. Its never too late, just easier on a brand new server.
Thanks WN1 Hit for the sig!
