The main issue, as I see it currently... is that the world economy is far more dependent on the USA than on China.

If China goes into a Depression, it is much less likely to affect world economy than if the USA went into one. The 2008-2009 recession affected the entire world, not just the USA. The Great Depression of the 1930s became a worldwide depression.

But if China went into a depression... it is unlikely to have all that great an influence on the USA or Europe.

britian is heading back into one since brown ordered cash to be donated from us the tax pays to help out greece so they could pay off their bills to some clown... but know we got rid of brown hopefully we will not do that again..

come to big war.. probe be russia,china and japan vs rest of the world.. japan would probs do the same thing as in ww2 take over all the irlands so they get more nukes before blowing us to hell...

russia can still blow the usa to hell 100 times over since they have over 6-7k active nukes and about 15k inactive or more.. but then again they would not even get the chance to be able to do that since it would violating allied agreements with most the world so they be destroyed because they wont be able to fight in all directions at once.. then you got china that wont bother about taking any place first so they will just turn both keys then hit the button..

but then again you got to think about something.. what if the humans dont want to turn the keys and hit the button.. well no nukes going off that day..

Satan, if nukes were used....everyone basically everywhere would die. All industrial nations would be essentially wiped off the face of the earth.

If nukes weren't used (which is much more likely to happen if China vs. USA were to happen (which it's not going to))....how can you say that China would easily win? Look at the wars in the past half century that America has fought. The enemies have been far far weaker than China and America has not been very successful. A non nuclear war between China and the U.S. would result in a land invasion of the U.S. west coast. With the American army stretched too thin throughout the world right now, I don't see how the U.S. could possibly stop a land invasion.

China cannot reach the USA's west coast.

They simply do not have the naval power.

No one has successfully invaded America since the War of 1812. Abe Lincoln said that the combined forces of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined cannot by force drink from to Potomac... and such is still true.

We have the biggest moat in the world. Which leads to America's historic overconfident isolationism.

2. And if American attacked China, China would attack back with their nukes destroying a fair amount of the U.S. as well.

3. Russia would oppose the U.S. because of deep seated anger left over from losing the Cold War and because they would rather see China win.

4. If Russia sided with China they would invade Eastern Europe to take back all the countries that used to be theirs.

In response to 2.... We have more nukes than China...stupid move on their part. Also, we have an awesome thing called satellite defenses that will destroy most of them before they get here anyway.

In response to 3.... Russia would not oppose the US...it would instead fight China on the basis of expansion...the Russians have constantly proven their desire to ever expand into new areas, yay communists. And they still are communists, under the guise of a republic. And I don't know if you know anything about history, but the Russians and Chinese actually almost went to war over the Manchurian province in the 50's or 60's..not sure which one. They would treat this war exactly the same as they did in WW2..help the Americans and their allies create a dual front for which the Chinese would have to face, and then just refuse to leave the areas of conquest that they have taken.

In response to 4...Pretty much answered in the response to 3... Russia will NOT side with China, and neither will they attack eastern Europe because they are part of the NATO group..which makes them American allies.

I need a few minutes to reread this entire thread and send out my farming teams.

But, I'll repeat my opinion.

A) This thread isn't about China vs. USA.
B) If China did fight the US, it would not be a nuclear war.
C) China would not be as easy a foe as everyone seems to think. It would be a long long drawn out war in which, I think, China would emerge the victor.

1. Where do you think most jobs in China are from? The U.S.

2. If America for some reason decided to attack China, they could quite very easily kill the entire country. Look at the differentials in military power.

3. Russia would certainly not side with China. My guess is that they would stay neutral. Why would you oppose America?

4. All of Eastern Europe would be in the war as well. Especially if China attacked America due to NATO.

im not american im a brit and not prode of it..

and if you have not noticed already the UK is the most arrogant country (if you can call my country a country with i dont) in the world..... we demand more than anyone else....
