Yes, all well and good, Conrad. But what you were saying earlier about how anything limiting freedom is despotism...

I can't say I agree with that. I didn't view my parents as despots when I was a child. Nor do I now. I don't view my government as despots for most of the things they limit me from doing. Some things...yes, I can't understand. But most, like laws against murder and speed limits, those aren't evil acts. They are there to protect me and those around.

My in-depth and specialized knowledge is not limited to a narrow field of study but includes literature, poetry, literary theory and literary criticism, history, philosophy, aesthetics, ethics, political science/political theory, military theory, etc.

Yes, it's quite clear you're rather well-versed and gifted.

But, and excuse me if this comes across too crass, how can you say that any impediment on sovereignty is despotism? From one extreme to the other....was my kindergarten teacher a despot for not allowing me to go to the bathroom when I asked because he thought I was lying, causing me to wet my pants in front of and entire room of my peers? Or are governments/religions despot because they condone and punish murderers/rapists?

Where is the line separating despotism from freedom?
