I find it hard to believe that despot can only arise in situations with unrestrained and extreme liberty. Would you consider France during Robespierre's reign a place of unrestrained and extreme liberties? Or what about the United States during McCarthyism?

I think freedom is a ridiculous idea made to help one sleep at night. I just found an image that I liked.
