    Default Changes in the Game

I have only ben playing Age " for less than 2 weeks, and will keep going for a while, but at the moment I cant see the point, so help would be appreciated. Its not a war game, 1 attack and wait for 8 hrs hardly qualifies as a war. The game has always been waited in favour of the defenders, but how does a small player beat a igger one in this game? It seems to me that all you need do is join a new server, spend lots of money and you cant be beaten - it seems an ideal game for bullies with credit cards. What i dont understand yet, is where is the challenge? What is difficult aboiut the game? How can you beat a bigger player than yourself? How do you define the game, its not war (in my opinion) nor is it farming, city building etc. I enjoyed Age1 so i honestly hope there is something I am missing. The so called 'stratagems' seem pathetic to me - i just dont see how they can materially change the game, and I have no Idea what the 'Star' function is about, or why I should chose 'manual' over 'automatic'.
So any help or advice, or explanation would be appreciated - I do intend to give the game at least another 2 weeks to prove me wrong

The challenge, as far as I can see it is to manage to raise an armyto take and defend the historic cities. They made raising armies comparatively difficult and slower. But they also took away most of the incentive for attacking other players :S

I guess that's hardly much of an answer to you. But hey, I feel ya. It's a compromise that's neither here nor there.
