What happens when your food production goes in the red?
It eats at your stock. Troops eat the food being produces first before going for your stockpile. Why would you want troops to eat and extra 690k-715k food/hour when all you have to do is spend 2 hours max capping vallies?
Lets see:
690K x 24 hours 16.56 Million
16.56 Million x 30 days 496.8Million
Would you rather farm 497million food or spend 2 hours capturing vallies?
*This is calculated based on extra resources production given from 9 level 10 Lakes in an NPC 10 with all farms all 10 and 3 Level 9.
So lets see again it's gonna take 27 Extra farm trips a month from each city just to make up for your lazy ass not wanting to spend 2 hours capturing vallies.
Up to you but in my mind less farming is always a positive. But you must not have ever been in a situation where your troops eat more food then your city can effectively produce.
