That is why I always have a warehouse city.

Typically it's a NPC 10 I take where I destroy the 1 iron mine and lumber and I use it to store my extra lumber and iron.
This way I can have a lot of lumber and iron without my production stopping at any time or needing to micromanage the market to store my resources...

Right now I have 320 mill lumber and 390 million iron in it...

I don't agree with the 6 cottages thingy for a lumber city either.
27k population isn't enough to queue 18 hours or so of archers training in one go which is what those of us that work need to do....
You need 36-40k pop or so to do such a thing...
There are multiple solutions to what you are saying, you can sell your resource that you don't need (i'm guessing since you produce quickly to your capacity that getting resource when you need it isn't a problem), help some of your alliance members who need it if you get THAT much resource. I've seen some 7 cottage builds but you could always set to 0 production and make troops which definitely takes some time to make if you are making archers (or longer time consuming units like bal/catapult)

but yes, I think the people who come on more often should be rewarded in some way don't you agree? they are investing time into a game and if they can get a little bit (or more) ahead of the others because they are micro managing or busy making troops all the time, then don't they deserve it because they are putting more work into their account?
