    Right now the most efficient unit is the archer. It can be made with a level 4 barracks. You also need warriors for meat shields, but thats it.

    Every other unit is a handicap, because it has a worse kill/eat ratio. Sword, Pike, Cav? Waste of food. Ballista and Catapults? Are you kidding me? Do you know how many archers you can have for the food cost of one catapult?

    So after you are maxed out on archers, whats the point of playing anymore? Why upgrade your cities? Why research metal casting? Why buy scripts?

    This game needs serious re-balancing to make any army other then an archer swarm even viable. NPCs let you experiment with things like Ballista and Catapults. That doesn't happen anymore. Siege simply eats way to much, and 1 catapult is not better then 27 archers. One ballista is not better then 5.5 archers.

    Making army sizes smaller makes all but two units a waste of programming.

    *edit* I feel really bad for anyone who payed money for scripts to upgrade barracks. They got screwed hard.
