If u want to know wut will happen servers will most likely be cluttered within a week with npc towns. Players will fight for the right to farm the npc. armies will starve. people who but game cents to build their army will no longer do so. the game will soon after start losing money. the game will then become pay 2 play. and it loses even more buisness and ruins itself. If it keeps goiing this way the game will end up dying out in, i would say, no more then 3 months.

Do you say this thinking no other patch will ever be released again?

wat will most likely happen is they will have another patch and that will cause another problem and more and more problems will happen turning into a cluster of problems that will turn players away from the game. A lot of the problems should have been worked out in the beta stage of the game but it was all ignored and now it may lead to the dying of the game itself.

I'm just here to play the game.

    Anyways...

There is no upside for anyone with this new change to NPCs.

Large players will begin crushing and bleeding their smaller neighbors for resources. Smaller players wont be able to start raiding NPCs to grow faster than a crawl. And with them now being a main target, they will NEVER grow.

There is no upside to this change for anyone. Resources are going to become scarce, prices will drastically rise in the marketplace, and newer player wont be able to afford them at all.

Large armies will begin to become impossible due to there now being only 1/24th the supply of large quantities of food in the game.

Smaller players will be destroyed and larger players will become stagnant.

Sure NPC creation will help, but it won't solve the impending drought and stagnation of resources.

Looks like you already have a prophecy of what this game will become no matter what decisions lie ahead.

See, I think people are already settled in to the new reality. Clearly, many of us have been creating new NPCs... it was kinda dumb of them to FINALLY do an inactive purge (and therefore open up lots of flats) at the same time they did this.. it's like they're BEGGING us to make more NPCs. I've done so as well... 4 so far, and a few more tomorrow when the flats levels change.

Maybe 'age 2' will involve the NPCs attacking, that'd be interesting.

I think the NPC's now produce resources at the same rate we do... seems like the lvl 7 NPCs are at about 200K per hour.

So there has to be more attacking to maintain the army... that's probably what the devs want... it's a WAR game, not a 'stockpile armies and stare at them on the screen' game.

You'll note there was a panic spike in food prices (they tripled, from about .1 to about .3), now they've settled at about .25.. still far less than lumber or Iron.

I expect in a week or two they'll be another change when the devs realize there's fewer players because we made so many NPCs... but we'll see.

its not a prophecy its a true fact many online games fail due to this kind of junk that is happening right now. unless they put the npc's back to normal or lower it from 24 hrs for the resources to regenerate to like 5-8 hours if not this game will rip itself apart within the last few hours i have seen over 45 new npc's pop up within 45 miles of me thats 100 players who wont be able to join due to this mess.

Ok, can you all find 12 npc cities in your areas? Let's say the travel time to each is, at most, one hour. That's a 2 hour round trip. Multiply this by 12 cities and you get 24 hours. Of cours, this requires you to play 24 hours a day = which apparently some of you do.

So what is the ACTUAL problem? The actual problem is you want more. More of this, more of that and, in particular, more power over your enemies. As far as I can tell, this npc nerf was more of an equalizer than a nerf.

Why should you be allowed to blast npc cities with ballistae and not risk any losses? Can anyone honestly answer this question?

tbh its not that we want the resources or gold its the fact that some of us who have huge armies are now guna lose them due to the nerf and its not fare if we have to lose the armies we spent time to build cuz others think we are to powerfull tbh everyone was able to attack the npc cities it was no advantage the ppl who attacked the npc cities started like everyone else.
