    I can understand the game developers wanting to take away a real large advantage for certain players to try and even the game out as they intended it to be and draw down the extreme power of an individual to make it more of an alliance game...

    but if you're going to change 1 aspect just to stop that, but not the reality of the whole concept involved... its unrealistic... if resources now don't regenerate for 24 hours, but the defenses regenerate in an hour or less, how is the concept realistic?

    if you want to lower whats available in a barbarian town fine, you should scale it back in a way that it makes sense... if they have so many farms, producing so much an hour, and only have so many barracks to produce so many units... how can you have the levels of resources or troops they contain?!?!

    now doing this would mean players would also no longer build cities, they'd simply capture barbarian cities... so either you make it so we can't take over a barbarian city, or we can't create a barbarian city... perhaps the logic where we attack a barbarian city until all the citizens and troops leave that area and it becomes an empty flat... otherwise you have to even out the logic in the game to where we take them over...

    plus we have to take into consideration... the units are what the units are... just because we found a tactical advantage for using a unit, doesn't mean we should be punished for it... if ballista out range their defenses, then we should rightfully win the battle without losses... if you wanted to make things more difficult for players, how about making towers useful and reaching siege units... but with towers having a finate amount, someone could still attack them, but at least this time the towers would cause some damage to the attacking units... I've seen cities one rounded when they had 10K towers and not a single attacking unit was harmed because they weren't in range... why wouldn't city towers hit attacking units is beyond me to begin with...

    conclusion... when all else fails, manipulate the data...

    The problem is that then farming for medals or hero xp get squelched too. I bet more people would be upset about that than those that would be please with being able to take barb cities easier.

    NPC's can do as they please. This has been a known technique for decades.

    why, if the defenses take that long how can i farm XP to level my heros?

    No, then they will be way too easy to conquer
