You have interesting possible topic choices. They are not the common places of study, and for that I applaud you. I too love history, but I prefer to write sci-fi, which gives me more creative license. But to each his own. I prefer Napoleon to Charlemange, but my favorite leaders in all of history have to be Alexander the Great or John Paul Jones (Not really a leader, but one of my favorites nonetheless)
