Historical Hero not there?

Not really a guide, but it will help a lot of people.

I bought information on historical hero 'Rurik'. He had an attack stat of 91 (before holy water). I built a HUB on 1 mile and started attacking.

The historical hero "wasn't there". I attacked, and attacked some more, he never showed up. I knew from checking other servers that he was an attack hero, so thought he had to be higher attack than defending normal hero Drew (Level 28)



In fact, Im ~100% sure that hero Drew has lower than 91 attack. Most people would assume that the Historical Hero should have shown up in the reports. I agree, that in most cases, he should show up then. However, we simply do not know if this is a bug or a feature.

On the 105th attack, I finally captured the historical hero. I checked all the reports, and Rurik never showed up in any of the reports.

Conclusions:

1. people complain on the forums, but dont know how the historical hero feature works. Even if it's a bug, your best option is to assume it's a feature.
2. historical heroes can 'hide' behind normal heroes, but can still be captured.
3. people don't understand variance. The chance to capture a H-hero on a successful attack is about 2%-4%. This means it's possible to attack for hundreds of times, without capturing it. I mean... some people also win the lottery, don't they? Having said that; I also captured 2 H-heroes on the 1st hit.
