So Marcia has the right to decide who should go free and who should go to jail?
Why does Marcia have that right?
Is she morally superior to the rest of us and her judgement perfect?
What happens if the entire police force decides that they all have the right to make these decisions?
Isn't this what we think of as a totalitarian state, where the police may come in the night and take anyone away on false charges, just because they think they deserve to be punished?
