Just fyi I beat your thread by about a minute. But I digress

The Catholic Church is a defunct entity that was created to rule over the early dark age population. They decided what went into the bible they decided who could do what, when , or where and they were corrupt as all get out. Selling indulgences, claiming only priests could talk to God, and excommunicating anyone they wanted to for lulz.

The CC today is just grasping at straws trying to reduce the blowback from priests who easy killer....I believe I did say to be careful not to be offensive, right? Discussion of religion is fine. BASHING of religion is NOT.

EDIT: Eh sorry, didnt mean it in a bashing way but can you agree that aformentioned scandal has caused alot of problems for the modern day CC?

I am dissapointed in alot of things the Catholic church does my uncle worked for 2 catholic churchs and said he has never worked for such corrupt people. (example) and old couple came in wanting to buy holy water however they had run out of (so called holy water) so my uncle goes to the priest and asks him if there is any holy water left. the priests grabs an empty water bottle from on top his desk fills it with tap water and says here sell it to them fro 5 bucks. My uncle couldnt believe what he just heard. Reluctant to sell it and decieve the poor couple my uncle tells them we have run out of HolyWater next week we will have some more. This is just one example of how bad the catholic church has gotten.

Back in the old days gave catholic churches very bad reputation, they are losing followers, but i was disgusted the way they were back then. As along they truly believe in what they have in this day and time, I have no problem with them.

I do not like the Catholic Church's opinion on some things, like same-sex marriage.

I believe that humans, if they feel that they should be with a person of the same gender, should be allowed to marry that person and adopt children. There's nothing wrong with that. Of course, in the Catholic Church's defence, Christian scripture says that (and please correct me if I'm wrong) it is unclean. Or unholy. I'm not sure about that one.

We must weigh both sides of the argument.

Yeah, I've got to say here that I'd prefer not to take some book for advice on this point. I, personally, see nothing wrong with same-sex marriage. If it's a crime, who is it a crime against? Is anyone getting hurt or stolen from as a result? Does anyone at all come off worse in any way because of it?

That kind old lady stopped the rain for us.
She said it would only make us cold, and miserable, and sick.
We thanked her and hugged her and she walked away smiling warmly.

No, I'm sure they converted to Slaanesh before doing that...

    On a more serious note:

    I agree with Nesterus' view.
