    Like i said previously,

This game allows you to make 200k+ archers per 24 hours...
Yet this game also (without npcs.) only allows you to feed 100k archers for 24hours...
That doesn't include any siege equipment or cavalry =>

As far as exploits go...how is it an exploit if your not aware of it when doing it...how is it an exploit when the game is LIVE and your not using some cheat program to get it...

How about this...lets remove caps on all resources...I say a town should be able to mass on resources, get rid of the idiotic cap limit....also another good move would be how about we just get rid of the npcs! Also, lets increase the map size so that no player can be within 20, 30, hell even 100 miles of your city! That should make it easier for everyone to play, right?

Which is why you need to engage in that glorious thing known as ECONOMIC PLANNING.

I guess we have our solution for barracks cheese don't we?

Because it's unreasonable in a neutral setting that Barbarian cities could rebuild their supplies of resources several hundred times faster than their PC neighbors.

Come on, guys, put a LITTLE thought into this.

This patch is AWSOME!!!!! Every player is going to get something positive out of it.

Why it's good for non NPC farmers:

    1. They get to laugh and rant on the forums against everyone who farmed NPC's.
    2. They get a sense of satisfaction because the devs are supporting their gameplay style.

Why it's good for NPC farmers:

    1. It makes us rethink our strategies, and develop better one's in light of the new mechanics. Comming up with new ideas is always good.
    2. It increases our managment skills, giving us experience that can be used in real life.

Of course, there are downsides to every decision.

Why it's bad for non NPC farmers:

    1. The adaptation strategies cause massive army players to attack smaller players in order to turn them into NPC's for farming.
    2. They are unable to find open flats to expand into another city.

Why it's bad for NPC farmers:

    1. .................................................. .........I got nothing.

As you can see, this patch is good for everybody as long as you look at the positives.

If you only have 22m food, you can still have an 10m upkeep army but good lucky going away from the computer for 3 hours.

It'd still be possible to have the massive armies, but it would take a lot of work to maintain them.
It would make it nearly impossible to raise an army large enough to attack a level 10 NPC without massive losses....although I suppose that might be a benefit, for some...only fair that investments should match return. However, in that case, payoff for Lv10 should be raised accordingly.

The way I look at it is like this...when your playing a different game and you are off killing whatever the hell you are killing, how long does it take for the monster or whatever to respawn...only a matter of seconds/minutes. In this game that monster is the npc's or valleys. I'm not saying that the res should automatically revive, however 24 hours for full regeneration is rediculous. All this nerf will do is cause a sudden increase in Npc's allowing less people to come into the server. So all in all...this move has and will LOSE the creators possible profit.

And it is reasonable for the cities belonging to someone with 100 prestige and 5 cities who can only make archers and calvary to produce resources at the same rate as the cities belonging to someone with 300k prestige and ten cities who can make siege equipment and armored horse?

And it is reasonable for NPC cities to rebuild defenses and troop levels thousands of times faster then their neighbors?

And it is reasonable to have hundreds of Barbarian cities in the middle of an advanced empire?

And it is reasonable for Barbarians to have things like massive fortresses?

And it is reasonable for combat to be turn based? First you take a turn, then I do, then you, then I.

And it is reasonable for a raiding party to knock down the walls of a city before plundering the unprotected country side?

And it is reasonable for walls knocked down to rebuild themselves so fast?

And it is reasonable for guys with pitch forks to be able to hurt massive stone walls in the first place.

Truth is, there is very little reasonable about this game. If we take out all the stuff that is unreasonable, nothing is left. Its a game, not a historical reconstruction. Come on man, put a little thought into your arguments =P

Let's address that issue when the ballista exploit is conquered. Until then, discussing the quick troop regen is kind of silly when it's so easy to kill them at will with a sufficient concentration of ballistas.

You'd be surprised. Have a look at British history sometime.
And it is reasonable for Barbarians to have things like massive fortresses?
For that matter, is it reasonable for Barbarians to have and produce enough resources to support ungodly armies without any other thought taken to the resource base? The unreasonableness goes both ways here.
And it is reasonable for combat to be turn based? First you take a turn, then I do, then you, then I.
No, but you have to make SOME concessions to the fact that this is a computer game.
And it is reasonable for a raiding party to knock down the walls of a city before plundering the unprotected country side?
    That's a point there.
And it is reasonable for walls knocked down to rebuild themselves so fast?
Consider the alternative. A lot of players would stop building walls altogether.

Hey, anything can do a lot of damage in sufficient numbers.

It is as sound and fury, signifying nothing. This is still an exploit.

Hard to call it an exploit when it not only got the thumbs up from the devs, but the devs designed the game to require raiding level 10 NPCs 50-100 times to get your last title. As for the rest, the point is that your argument was doofy. 'It had to be changed, it was unrealistic, think about it people' is a silly argument when almost nothing about the game is realistic.

In fact, I really can not think of anything about this game that is realistic, and there is nothing at all realistic about NPC cities period. The reason it was changed a second time was because a Mod got active in a complaint thread and took it to the devs, not because a lack of realism.
